  Vacation Time! Going To A Regional?

  this is the first year i have not been at a summer assembly.. the friends here locally just got back from the regional in our area.. they mostly took their vacation time from work to attend.. while they were gone i had an epiphany...... why is it that the rank and file take their summer vacation time to attend an assembly (we have all heard this hammered in from the platform) whereas the governing body attend as part of their "work".. it cant be as simple as "well, they are giving talks" because there are many brothers that give talks from the rank and file also who have used up precious vacation hours and drug their entire family there plus give their parts.. or what about other brothers and sisters who volunteer and clean at the assembly.

  on vacation.. so the pubs.

  travel at their own expense, pay for their own rooms and food, and give parts and it is supposed to be viewed as their vacation.. the gb and c.o.s travel to the same assembly and stay in provided for accomadations, give a talk or two and they are "working".. what is that about?.

  They are executives of a corporation. Unlike the plebes (ie, workers), executives get free cars, flights, expense accounts for their lunches, and a plethora of benefits that the lower classes don't know about. The GB is the same as any other executive.

  i have always wondered why prince and michael jackson stayed in good standing for some of the stuff they released as jws?

  or how the williams sisters could stay in sports without all the bs?

  after all the revelations about the org that i have heard... i wonder if they are paid and the reason they get away with it is that they are pr strategies and really they could give a crap about the org?

  No, no, no.

  Prince was p-struck, and the others want to be with their families. They are not paid - their donations ensure that they do not get shunned for their obvious breaking of the rules. It's a win-win for the WTBTS.

  Why do EX-JW's try to argue the bible/doctrine with JW's?

  i've watched a few judicial committee videos on youtube.

  they all start out great but eventually the person starts to bring out bible teachings and doctrine.

  i understand that 99% of their teachings are complete crap, but to me it's a pointless battle.. as a jw growing up i remember being on countless calls where a jw would argue the trinity with the householder.

  That's a good point. As far as I'm concerned, it's for two reasons,

  1. You desperately want that person to know TTATT. You care about them, and wish to rescue them from themselves.

  2. You like to prove that you have the superior knowledge and intellect.

  We all want our loved ones to have the best life they can have. Reason #1 is altruistic.

  
  If it's #2, then you best take a look in the mirror. It's unfortunate that those who wish to show their superior knowledge, don't seem to own any mirrors. xx

  Ummm, the OP is asking women if it makes a difference. I would guess that means "cut or uncut, which do you prefer in the bedroom, and for cleanliness?".

  My answer is, for the woman, it makes no difference to sexual pleasure. As for cleanliness; if a guy is a slovenly pig, then his equipment will be dirty. It has nothing to do with circumcision.

  As for this,

  the foreskin has a purpose, to protect glands. to protect from dirt germs and damage.
  it also supposedly helps a male feel more sexual stimulation.

  Yes, of course! And re the sensitivity, well DUH! That is just common sense, and also medically proven, if I recall correctly.

  But it's OKAY to cut an infant - they can only scream and submit to your will? Just thinking about it, makes me cringe.

  There's no need to feel guilty if you had this done to your child, in ignorance. "When we know better, we do better."
