  For those of you who wish to 'hear'

  may you all have peace!

  when i was sent to speak to ones and they came back asking me why it is that we hear and they do not, i had taken it before my lord to ask him.

  this is what he told me, their hearts are hard and they do not wish to hear what i tell them.

  Theocratic School Talks, they were the worst ! hated doing them, did you ?

  remember back to the days you were in the theocratic school and had to give talks, were they the worst or what, i remember they were suppose to run about 6-8 minutes, i had some short as 3. the talks were pointless, you would just throw some mumble jumble together and go up and talk, first the introduction (and don't forget your gestures), then read the weekly scripture and then the conclusion, all your words of wisdom.

  i would rank this second on the worst list next to field service (still # 1).. how about you, did you enjoy doing them ?

  Yep ... hated it.

  age 10 and up...my dad always wrote it for me:

  1. mumble jargon for 25 seconds(gesture)

  2. read first 9 verses of any given bible chapter

  3. mumble jargon.....(gesture)... mumble mumble

  4. read 3 more verses.... (eye contact)

  5. (gesture) mumble jargon

  6. read final 4 verses.. .(gesture)....mumble mumble

  7. look at feet as I scamper back to my seat, to be "graded" like a side of beef

  Hhmmmph haaaaaaated it.

  You know I am starting to see a trend developing here....

  Question: "He"?.......... Why?

  I respect anyone's beliefs, and whatever you find comfort in. But it's kinda spooky, you know? But one of two things can happen if you go around telling people that "he" talks to you...

  it was brought out at recent meeting that we must stay close to "jehovah's organization" and follow closely the "admonitions" found in the watchtower magazine because we know that the information found in the watchtower is given directly to us by jehovah himself.

  question for the believing witness?

  1) if by your own teaching's you believe that jehovah is a god of truth and cannot ever tell non -truths, how do you explain why the watchtower has changed it's "understanding" of scriptures so many times?

  So where does all of this leave the current Dub? How do they justify, that people should follow this from now on then? Its like they are saying "Ok men were imperfect;,just a teeny mistake... but we're all better now.......Hey!...come BaCk! all of you.... No really!!..... everybody just sit back down and listen again. We got it right this time."

  Convention Report

  i just got back from my convention yesterday evening.

  i'll be trying to catch up on the posts as time allows, but there is a very large volume; so if i miss any personal replies, please forgive me.. this was my first convention since i became mentally free, and it was just painful to sit through.

  i used to be one of those dubs who actually enjoyed conventions.

  Informative... thank you. I dread going, but it is necessary. Gives me the hee-be jee-bees just reading that. But at least I can stay home and say I went this time.Whatever you may have left out... I will just make up. Pretend to be enthused..

  this is probaly one of my biggest problems i dealt with growing up in the jw crap.. it's no fun growing up alone.. i am sorry, but i hated my parents (probaly from the time i was 13), i know that is mean and a terrible thing to say, but that's how i felt.

  i had no respect for them growing up in the borg.

  they taught me nothing about ................. having a relationship/dating.

  Hi Run,

  Yes I lost respect for my parents. For the longest time, I boasted about the "loving environment" that I had that others did not seem to have. But now that I am older, and back in touch with my father, I see him as just another borg. The more the lies come out, and deceptions un-covered, I am finding that my father is just as involved as ever. He is an elder, and I can "sense" the deceit in him. I ask him the "hard-hitting" questions, and listen to his voice change.

  He is still the lovable little funny man that he always was when it comes to anything else. But when the topic of the Society is touched on.... he changes. Like I can hear the shame? or something. I often tackle him with important questions just to see what he will say... my next one will be... Would you sacrifice me again for this organization, knowing what you know now? I'll let you know.

  i passed the accident late last night, a dark winding road, right past the college and then a bar.

  yes, i wondered as i slowed what happened, is anyone hurt?

  upon looking closer i saw a sheet draped so one could not see what the paramedics and firemen were doing.
