  The real story: Is your congregation stagnant, dwindling or thriving?

  with the 2007 service year stats out one could be forgiven for thinking that wt's problems are over, the child abuse settlement an itch in their bethel backside and the blood issue a minor annoyance.. if the truth were known, it is probably that more often than not, congregations are in decline, attendance is poor and few new recruits are not already jw family members.. so, if you know how your congregation is doing, if you have the pulse of your hall, let us know.. .

  my congregation (which shall remain nameless).

  dwindling attendance at all meetings (around 80%).

  Stagnant - declining - publisher numbers going down

  to bad thats the ONLY thing GOING DOWN in the congs

  my old cong is contemplateing MERGEING with the cong they broke away from way back in the late 70s/ early80's ................ their excuse is........... take two half congs and make one really good cong.......... problem is the attendance is still plumenting................ no parties or get togethers........... cause they damn near banned any good ones. oh you cant have costume parties........ oh NO more formals.............. skateing................ so they are reaping what they sowed.

  i cant wait untill i find out that they sold both halls and built another in the center................... which they were planning................. AND THE RBC screwed them into a huge ass mortgage that the combined halls cant pay. one hall has never been remodeled and has orginal carpet........ thanks to the multiple carpet cleaners in the hall....... and is paid for........ the other has been remodeled at least once and the carpet replaced several times...................... dont know if its paid for but it should be close............. both are in EXCELLENT LOCATIONS..................... so next thing you know.............the RBC will be makeing them build a new hall.............. and they gonna be 200k in debt........... AFTER selling two almost paid off halls....... WTF

  What exactly does a normal person do with a PAIR of handguns? Besides shoot a place up Matrix style?

  bro.......... you gotta have a spare........... or one for your girlfriend to carry

  Is it true that some Glocks can fire with just the hammer being pulled back and the trigger not being pulled? My dad used to preach about how unsafe they were, and I'm kinda thinking that's just hot air.

  bro....... glocks dont have a hammer......... at least not an external one. the glock has no safety beyond the trigger safety........ now you can have your glock modified to have a safety but they gotta cut your gun so if you do that to one be SURE he knows what hes doing. they do sell these little plugs that fit UNDERNEATH the trigger and they work KINDA like a safety as they SNAP into place and snap out and probably get lost. not something i would like to try in a life or death situation......... tho i feel perfectly safe with a glock if its in a holster that covers the trigger guard. a person can even have the trigger pull increased from 3 to 5 lbs to make it harder to pull the trigger "accidentally" we call those NEW YORK TRIGGERS.

  an alternative to the glock is the springfield armory XD ........ they are very much like the glock....... but they have the added benefit of a grip safety kinda like the 1911.

  i just inherited a couple of pistols from my grandfather.......... i thought for a few short minutes that they were actually schofeilds.............. i know i spelt that wrong lol. i was seriously about to jump for joy......... untill i realized i couldnt find S&W anywhere on them............... and that the .45 calibur....... was actually .455. it totally didnt help that my dad claimed to have knowledge of them........ and he described them as .45 calibur calvary pistols with the barrels shot out.............. so naturally i expected great things but the only words on them are spanish............... so i figure they are a couple of .455 webly s&w knockoffs.

  rusted and they dont work reliabliy.......... so gonna hafta get them checked over by a gunsmith and find someone who can tell me if they can be restored enough to shoot.

  they both lock closed like bank vaults......... but i know they will cost me a small fortune to get restored...... if they werent my grandfathers........... i would make them paperweights. i know that they used to do calibur conversions from .455 webly to .45 acp with moon clips. guess ill see eventually

  kimbers are damn nice but i hear from my people that their customer service sucks a$$. but the way i look at it........... any competent gunsmith can work on a 1911 and kimbers start out pretty high up there so............ who cares. if i wanted customer service i would only buy tarus.......(life time repair) lol

  i was at a gun show and broke as hell............. and wouldnt you just *(&^%$( know it.......... guy has a stainless Para Ord .45.... with 2 factory stainless hi caps............... for sale that day for 500..................... i had to fight myself to keep from heading home to get my springfield mil spec and my tarus pt99 to try and trade for it................. but the dude wanted cash money.......... was sunday and he was headed home and wanted some money to show for his time. WOULDNT YOU JUST KNOW IT.

  LOL got a better one for ya oompa................ my mom decided to deliver phone books one year............. well they are serial numbered so if you get craploads and then dump them in a land fill............ they can track them and make you give them back the money they paid you to deliver em............. so she had like 5 cases left....... each with like 6 books or so in them wrapped in plastic.

  i decided they would make a rather splendid back stop. i then proceeded to stack them up behind my spinning metal target.

  out comes my ruger .45 colt with the 7 1/2 inch barrel............................. i fire and fire and fire and fire.............. i notice something keeps being flung back up and hitting me in the chest......... im thinking its the sand and rocks under the target. well im wearing a long sleeved shirt with a front pocket thats open............. a few minutes later my right nipple starts to burn like a bastard............. i look at it more closely..............

  i shot the phone books............ they were to dense for the .45 calibur bullet to penetrate........ so it ricocheted back and hit me in the chest........... not enough to hurt......... and fell downward into my pocket........... and THEN it started to transfer its heat into my right titty........................... OUCH.

  so all those times i was getting peppered and i didnt know it.

  Ex-JW - How Many Think About Gangsters

  i know this may sound strange to some but lately, virtually every week has gone by with me daydreaming myself as a gangster/gangsta.

  during conversations with my non-jw associates it is strikingly clear that i really, really know more about the yakuza, cosa nostra, bloods, crips, etc.

  i even think i am one of the few that knows (to the best of my knowladge) about the full story to the foudning of the crips and bloods.

  yeah i had a time going to pioneer school in little rock................. of course they want you to go out in service RIGHT THERE ARROUND THE HALL..................... which was soooooo totally in the hood. after 5 pm you just DONT anymore. walking past doors with shotgun patterns on them lol. guys rolling dice in the street. was an eye opener for me.

  yo JK ....... you like the .45 gap?

  i had the opportunity to buy one for damn cheap..... guy bought it and had a hard time finding ammo.............. which i thought was ridiculose since just about every place ive looked had it. i think he just had a hard time paying non surplus prices for that ammo.

  he put 2 boxes through the gun and was offering it to me for 350........ but i was to damn broke. came with 5 or 6 mags night sights and a nice leather holster galco i think. unfortunately for me he didnt want to trade

  i woulda at least tried to play with it for a few months before selling it for 450 lol

  actully methinks i woulda tried to trade it for one of those new springfield xd .45's in subcompact
