i filed a lawsuit today against the wts for wrongfull death of my daughter bethany.
i had a press conference and all the media was present.

thought i would throw this out to the board.
i was raised a jw.
i now celebrate most holidays.
Oh and one halloween my very active witness brother stopped by my house in his meeting clothes, kids were all in costume, I was giving candy out at the door, and I asked him "what are you dressed up as little boy, A JEHOVAHS WITNESS?"
I've never seen him give me such a dirty look
hilarious !!!.
15 yrs.

Thats a good story, very nice to hear, must have been very cool for you.

I had to work a little on getting the JW brainwashing out of my mind, so yea at first it was a little weird. But now, its not. It is soooooo much fun, guess because of the kids. I probably would not even celebrate without them. Its just a fun holiday for the kids, they love getting dressed up, and of course the candy. I agree about the whole community/neighborly feeling you get. That is very cool. I dont even really think about, or care what the meaning is supposed to be about anymore. Just a fun thing to do with the kids.
i am wondering... how did you first come across this board?
..... searching the web?
a friend?
After years of being faded, for some strange reason, I did a search on the internet for Jehovahs Witnesses, and this was the first site that came up, so I clicked in. Still dont have a clue why I decided to search for Jehovahs witnesses that day, but am glad that I did.
the coffee at the hospital i work at is usually pretty good.
better yet, its free.
but today it is yuckie!
and you know what "poo poo" taste like, becauuuuse......?
walking thru the living room this morning, i heard the morning news anchorman say ?peace and security?
those words can still stop me dead in my tracks.
?armageddon was on its way!
I remember when the words used to petrify me, in the late 70's early 80's. But whats funny is, they were used together like that, even way back then. Here we are 25 years later...
heard from a famous comic:
medical scientists have now confirmed that diarhea is hereditary.
they have found traces of it in peoples jeans.
Good to know.
hi i was just wondering, is it really different being in the witness religion as a full- fledged member than when you are studying with them.
are you treated differently or is all this "control" people talk about over exaggerated?
I was reading one website that said that a Jehovahs witness and X-JW have a 30% higher chance of being schitzophrenic and paranoid schitzo than the normal person.
This is intersting, I can reall see how that is possible, with the way they scare the crap out of people about the demons, being around us.
Welcome, and yes no, it is really not an exaggeration. You are in a different status right now, they are trying to get you to commit, and reel you in. Once you are baptized, its a whole differetn ball of wax, unfortunately.
