Guess I still must still believe in him. Just reading the title of this thread, my stomach knotted up.

Satan
by susu812 inafter leaving the witness does anyone here believe satan exists?
if yes do you think if we "gave" satan some kind of a challenge to prove he exists would it happen?
if he is so hell-bent on proving jehovah/ witnesses wrong would he go to such great lengths to make sure ppl turn away?

The first time I've been "down" b/c of JWD...
by upside/down ini've had good and bad days since stumbing onto jwd... and i've learned more in my short time here than in the last 20 years as an "active" and true to the bone...dub.... but today (tonight) i'm really sad... the tone of almost every thread i read has gotten "ugly".... i love "spirited" discussion, but this is different.
it feels like forum anarchy.. is there no yielding anymore...?.
maybe it was just too much happened today... or solar flares or something... i don't know...don't care.... maybe my new found "love" for my country (not the blind patriotic crap) and life coupled with the obvious animosity toward this love by some...well just bums me out.

(((U/D))) Hey, its ok, things will be ok. You're allright, you make some great contributions to the board. Perhaps like others said, take a little break, but make sure you come back, please. I have noticed the tone you are referring to, and have bitten my tongue around here the past few days myself, just to not get myself in any trouble. It makes me feel bad also, thats why I actually did speak up about something here last night. (It was a first me).
Maybe my new found "love" for my country
I might be a at this point a little too. Not as newly exited as you, but just at a point where I can freely enjoy love of country. I have to realize not everybody does though.
Chin up U/D, were all counting on you for some more fun and sarcasm around here, ok? Keep it coming?
Like they say "The sun will come out tomorrow"

This is a discussion board. You post a topic. You do not own that topic. This is not an attack on jeannie, nor is it hurting jeannie in any way shape or form. I feel confident in telling you that jeannie is a big girl. Hell, it's even relevant to the topic in an odd sorta way. This is where the discussion is happening. It could be anywhere, it is here. It is an important discussion for the forum to deal with and face head on.
I'm not saying you're hurting Jeanne, I'm just saying it is unfair. And it is unfair, to her and to the rest of us. I was discouraged from posting on this topic, because of what is being said here in this thread. I dont know you, and I dont know Evil. So, my perspective is very unbiased. But I can tell you, the only person making himself look bad, is you. What it looks like, from an outsiders point of view, is that you continue to accuse him. And are unable for whatever reason, to let this go. As Evil continues to defend himself, he only appears to me, to be more and more innocent. You're only making him shine. So maybe you're not accomplishing what you want by this.

A quick little enter and exit here to share my thoughts.
It turns me off when people try to use really big words, its not necessary, and it makes me feel like they are trying to be superior. So I do judge I guess, based on that, but it actually makes me not want to be around the person.
6 of 9 - this is not fair to Jeannie, she started a real decent thread here, and I read here about 4 times before I decided to post, because of the type of posts that are being posted in here. Honestly, dont you think it would be fair to Jeanne, and the rest of us, if you either just stop now or start your own thread or something? This isn't right.
K, I will quickly exit, ducking as I go, hoping not to get caught in any crossfire.

These two women are Jehovah's Witnesses, who, along with Mormons, are famous for their door-to-door proselytizing
Now we all know witnesses are the only ones doing the door to door work. Just ask them, they'll tell you.

Was his name Tom Cruise? Sorrry, my way of throwing my .2 cents in. Since its been close to 20 years since I've been out on service So, cant remember many specific incidents.
Except for the time me and another teenage sister, found a nice shaded porch swing, where the householder wasn't home. Sat there chatted and laughed our heads off (she was always stoned) while the rest of the group worked the territory in heatstroke temperatures. When they were done we caught up and told them we found someone who was interested. Not so weird though.

Recycling: Not for True Christains
by jeanniebeanz inso, i'm sitting here sorting out my recycling since tomorrow is trash day, and i remembered something that happened years ago that gave me a chuckle.. it was a sunday botchtower study and the topic was things that we should be doing to prepare for life in the new system.
even as a child, i didn't answer from the magazine and they never knew just what i was going to say; they would usually not let me hold the mic myself just for that reason... .
i had been learning about recycling to preserve our natural resources in school (6th grade, i was 10) and had my comment ready to go:.
