I would like to thank C.T Russell, J.F Rutherford and the Isaiah study publication...if they had not referred non-stop through this book about your great and inspirational writings in Studies in the Scriptures and the Finished Mystery, which set us apart from false religion and impressed the heck out of Jesus... I would never have bothered checking out these books in the Cong library and later downloading them because I couldn't believe how nuts those two cuckoo's were.

Thank those who helped you out of the Org
by Nosferatu inhere's a thread for all of you to thank those who helped you make your way out of the org.
i'll start.. i'd like to thank my ex-fiance for the support that she had given me when i needed it the most.
when i was faced with the elders coming to give me a shepharding call, she had given me the encouragement to stand up to them, and tell them truly how i felt.

Bethany...happy Birthday and thanks for sharing your story.
This was a powerful statement and perfectly worded
I pretty much had to start my life over, deprogramming myself and gaining my beliefs through my own searching and research. If feels empowering to know that NO ONE gets to tell me what I believe or that my beliefs are wrong or bad. And no one has any hold over me. I answer to myself.

A good question to make JWs 'think'
by Simon inmost of us have experienced the frustration of trying to convince a friend or relative that the wts is not what it claims: an organisation backed by 'god'.. of course, it is very difficult to prove a negative and a real die-hard believer will explain-away any evidence of wrongdoing by the org.
as they are trained to do so well.. i have found it good to reverse the question and ask them:.
"what would the wts have to do to convince you that it wasn't god's organisation?".

Exact question I asked my brother Simon who had been an elder for about 10 years.
He replied...Nothing could alter his faith in the GB because as an Elder he had seen things...times when using Jehovah's name repelled Demon attacks on publishers.
Hmmm...I asked him if he ever read the preface in the NWT reference bible where they state that the name Jehovah is not the correct name for YHWH and that they only use it due to familiarity...and then asked why powerful spirit creatures were afraid of a made up name, a name that we acknowledge is not correct...and are there any other names we can use as well which although not being correct the demons find scary?
Then I asked him why he didn't use Jesus name as the Apostles did...are we not supposed to follow the pattern set by the first century christians...never in the scriptures do they use any other name than Jesus to cast out Demons.
His response...well Jesus is not the correct pronounciation either! Jeshua is....
Ay carumba

The Worst Roomate (Part III -- For those who couldn't wait...)
by Preston inthe worst roommate (final chapter).
kevin?s husband ed was born in new mexico to a small family that did not have enough money for things.
his family was so poor ed eventually had severe tooth decay, a factor he still continually deals with.

Damn..Preston..
Fantastic reading...I enjoyed part two the most but the ending was a surprise...a vision of death made Kevin a better roommate...the voo-doo doll caught me off-guard as well.
I can't recall ever reading a short story which was so diverse with so many aspects covered.

Kingdom Hall Vandalized
by Kenneson inin salem, alabama a kingdom hall and a methodist church were targets of vandals.
satanic graffiti were scribbled on the walls.
law enforcement believe the buildings were selected because of location--in remote areas.

Do you love to dance?
by Maverick ini love weddings cause, "love is in the air", and you can ask any woman to dance and not get shut down.
when i went to vegas and we hit all the night clubs you could see all the couples sitting there around the dance floor, the women bobbing up and down off their seats and their guys sunk down with their butts glued to the chair.
even though i am not the best dancer, being one of those men willing to "shake that thing" i had a great time.

Sunny...I just had three tires swell on my car the other day
You can't change stupid so you just learn how to deal with it.
Had a boss once who asked why I had my wrist wrapped...told him doctors suspected a bone chip..he asked if there are bones in a persons wrist.

Hmmm...I think you've probably made up your mind already.
If you go on Wednesday night you could interupt them at crucial moments and say..shhhh..quiet I'm receiving instruction right now from the holy spear-it...Or keep swatting in the air behind you..whispering not now.
Maybe they found out your as trite and gay as a flower in may..or something to that effect.
Seems so strange that after 4 years they turn up like this...I don't think they'll share with you who made accusations or if there was really someone or not.
Might sound strange..but if your family already knows your situation you might think about talking to them just to let them know what is going on...that there are accusations against you but because they are not true and thus can't be defended you will not go to a judicial committee meeting...if the up-coming wedding is a concern this may tell you how this action will affect it..if at all.
Sorry for this sixer...goodthing you've got other positives in your life right now.
