How Did 1975 Affect You?

i saw my uncle sell their house..... only later to feel and look like idiots.

i remember all the buzz about the end coming around my own house.

since i was a naturally inqusitive child (the question why is not good for theocratic advancement) i was made to feel stupid for questioning, even at 7 and 8 years old.

I remember 1975..the build-up..2 yrs previous my best friend was killed in a car accident and I was told I'd see him shortly. Yeah right!

Wedding Present: The Family Happiness book

my mother told me that after i get married, she's going to give me the "family happiness" book.

i've never read the thing, but i know it's a wts publication that often gets given or mailed out to newlyweds who aren't in the troof.

what's your opinion of this "fine christian publication"?

It was given to me as well...Also the Bible story book when we had a child.....

I wish they would have given me The Finished Mystery when I was constipated

My JW Friends reaction to the Vicki Boer press release

i forwarded the press release to my jw friend yesterday afternoon and we talked about later that evening when i saw her.

i could see that she was confused and somewhat bewildered.

she first wanted to know more details about the case itself and when i supplied them, she became even more confused.

If I send this to all the local newspapers as a letter to the editor would they print it without my legit signature on it?

If not Could I send you the addresses or e-mail addresses of the editors so that someone who is not worried about family upheavals could try to get it published?

I send tons of stuff anonomously but it never seems to make any press or even warrant a reply from any of them.

i have been doing some more investigating, and found that the reason that k-mart is closing down, is because the watchtower has opened it's doors.

Millenium your emoticon must be at a meeting..he's asleep...now I can't count you as being present LOL.

While your relating to the first century christians ...How big of a publishing company did they need to become in order to share the good news about Christ...They used the bible..not ever changing light from many different publications which they had to continually keep printing because the truth was always changing.

I'm not trying to attack you Millenium just having a little fun and giving you a few of my own thoughts.
