am I trying to get myself disfellowshipped?
by acsot inmaybe, but i figure 1/11th of $30 million is worth it!.
i just bought (along with a few others from work) my first lottery ticket.
the only problem is, if we win, our pics and names get published, and if a dub sees it, then it's curtains for yours truly.. i'm maybe the only person in this area's lottery history who is ambivalent about winning $2.72 million.. but i think i could adjust!

Quick reply gadget
Of course their words are correct
Even if, regrettably, on isolated occasions allegations of child molestation might not have been handled with appropriate sensitivity and understanding, our unequivocal abhorrence of child abuse, our sympathy for victims and our desire to protect children from such heinous acts has been a matter of public record for many years.
This has become a matter of public record especially of late with several TV programs and newspaper articles which have showed them to be the Wild beast when it comes to handling matters involving child abuse allegations. How quick they are to pronounce judgement against catholics and the child abuse which was made public in their churches continually mentioning it at conventions, meeting and in the WT. Instead of excusing any of the abuse allegations against the catholic shurch they show it to be an outward sign of false religion and Jehovah's rejection.
Gadget quote them the scripture where Jesus said if anyone stumbles one of these children it would have been better if a millstone had been tied around his neck and then thrown into the sea.....I know a couple of good knots that should hold...maybe we can hog tie them

I'm going back to the Kingdom Hall!!!
by iiz2cool inyep, you heard me right - i'm going back to the kingdom hall.
my reason for going back is a very simple one.
recently, after i evicted the book study from my mother's home, some of the jw's came to pick up the chairs.

What's the story at your mom's house ...did she come over to the dark side with us?
Or did you continually show up at the bookstudy naked?
The bookstudy conductor always having to say **Yes Walter did you have a comment**...No that wasn't my hand brother...My winky had an itch.

Did the WT rob you of your Inheritence??
by Poztate inover the years many ways have been suggested by the wt as to giving.one primary way was to name the wt in your inheritance.my father had a very simple will.one third of all he had went to me,one third went to my sister and one third went to the wt.. my father was a great believer in the generation of 1914 not passing away doctrine before the big "a" many times he would urge me to come back before it was too late.he was absolutely certain the end would have to come very soon.after all this was jehovah's promise not just the thoughts of the org.. then came the doctrinal change of 1995?
the goal posts in his life had suddenly been moved.this took all the fire out of a very old and unsure man.he died less than a year later.. the big change...when his will was opened and read it was even simpler.one half went to me and one half went to my sister.i guess at the end he finally saw "new light".
did the wt try to rob you and did they succeed??

No money for any of my siblings...parents never had any....
The only thing the WT robbed them of was their thinking ability..and they made sure to pass that on to us as an early inheritance...Thanks Mom

Who else is having a hard time with depression right now?
by czarofmischief ini'm a loonie, but it seems that i've been dealing with some pretty severe waves of depression lately.
her majesty the czarina went on prozac last month and it was working wonderfully, until suddenly last week she suddenly had a bad day, and then another, and then another... it's been a week now and we're both in the blahs.
and my one co-worker had an anxiety attack and is kind of blah now, too.. anyway, that makes three people i know of who are having a bad time.

Me too..we seem to be all facing some kind of depression...
Mine has been sparked by a total loss of control in my life....Demanding boss who wants everything done his way and a demanding JW wife who wants everything done Jehover's way..No control at work or home. The cong is love bombing my wife which is all she needed to reconfirm she has the truth...

Hey Walter
Tape a small fish to one of the inside bottom corners....if it turns into a thousand they can sell it for the proceeds...if it rots and stinks to high heaven..oh well Jehovah must not have his spear-it on the new bookstudy arrangement.

arrowstar you had me excited there for a minute, it's been a while since a hottie told me to lay down
shotgun honey...
lie down because you must have a raging fever.
That's not a fever that's raging it's Don Cherry with his plaid suits and huge ties...Hockey Night in Canada the closest thing to a religous experience I've ever had and with no blue or red streaks trailing the pucks like the Fox network uses.

Cool bike gadget....... if you shave your head and paint a few red stripes on it you won't need a helmet.
Looks a fast bike....0-60 less than 4 seconds probably.

Ophrah's Book Club...Not quite.
by shotgun ini work during the day and don't get to watch ophra (gee that's too bad huh) but thought we could post a few of the books we've read to help us or we enjoyed reading along with a brief comment.
recently i've read breaking the bonds on winston's advice...it was a good read and opened my mind as to the control the wt organization has over its members, how it works and possibly the steps to combat it....i plan on slowly trying a few of the many suggestions contained in the book especially about instilled phobias.
presently i'm reading who wrote the bible on stillajwxelder's advice and it is a fantastic book which explains with clarity the most logical theories about who truly wrote the bible and why....highly recommend this book

I have yet to read 1984 which I can do at home and not have to hide it from JW scrutiny.
I have also read: ISOCF R.Franz and The Gentile Times Reconsidered by COJ
How about you?
