  Into the mystic (an experience).

  the following i wrote to a friend this morning and doctored slightly for this forum.

  can any of you relate to this kind of mystical experience and if you would be kind enough, would you mind me quoting any experiences listed to my friend?

  please be aware that the letter uses language to detach me away from the watchtower (thus church, instead of congregation etc).

  I want to believe but as Craig points out I can only base my belief on the related experiences of others as I have not had any....except a Reiki energy experience..maybe.

  I do find it hard to comprehend why a God/Spirit would provide strength for el blanko to deliver a letter to an elder and not provide the strength needed for ones in abusive situations to free themselves.

  There are so many daily occcurrances around the world where a nudge or ounce of direction could mean the difference between life and death for individuals. I can't understand why spirits would become involved in our lives by providing in comparison meaningless mystical experiences, other than to toy with us.

  Not to belittle any of your experiences because they were yours and no one can take that away from you...maybe it's just a little of sour grapes as well. The only thing that comes anywhere near what you experienced where childhood flashbacks and acid trips in my teens.

  Valis..why don't you approach the fox network about a Pope reality show...they could have 20 Cardinals all living together doing fear factor type stuff...exorcisms...who could do the fastest hail Mary's and the Cross toss until only one was left...the New Pope.

  the april 15, 1915 zion's watch tower, page 126 has an interesting brief article entitled "the typewriter and progress" that is certainly worth perusing.. "amongst the great inventions of our day is the typewriter.

  it came upon the market just forty years ago, in 1874, as a merchantable and usable convenience, after having been seven years in process of development.

  the bible, we believe, marks the same year, 1874, as the beginning of the harvest of this age.

  RR...I enjoy many of your posts and comments and will not comment on your Russell beliefs considering some of the things I used to believe as a dub.

  Other than he was a nut...with his brain seized in a vise...but he could be quite lovely at times.

  My picketing adventures

  well some of you here have already read about them at another board, but for you others i thought i would give you a little update on what i have been doing.

  the last 2 weekends i have started picketing 2 different kingdom halls here locally, this is the first time that i have ever done this, but i figure with all the years of penned up frustrations, that this was something i need to do.. i have really enjoyed doing this and the amount of support i have received from the public is phenomenal.

  i have a sign given to me by undaunted danny that says "jehovah witness destructive cult, thousands of dead kids from their bogus medical dogma" and at the bottom of the sign there are 2 bumperstickers that say "stop wathctower abuse" and also the web addresses to freeminds and silentlambs.

  One couple in their early 60's I imagine stopped at the stop sign and the woman rolled down her window and yelled "liar"

  If that happens again quickly clutch your chest and fake a heart attack....it will give them so much joy to think they helped kill you, it would probably make into the next kingdom Ministry.

  A letter to the Parents

  a friend gave me permission to post this.

  i think it's a good letter, it might help others formulate their thoughts; she understands it may not be read or considered deeply, but things can't get much worse with her family at this point anyway.

  no contact is not that much different than contact once per year or less, and sometimes it's just really important to have the people who should know you, at least know you a little.

  I liked this comment..it fits so well into the Beware of Strangers alerts which the WTBTS are broadcasting lately.

  You also once asked me in the same letter as mentioned above, “Why are you believing all this information from strangers when you have the truth right in front of you?” That question really made me think and it wasn’t until I started writing this letter and quoting the WBTS literature that I realized you were right. Everything I believed for the first 31 years of my life came from the WBTS and the men who built the Jehovah’s Witness religion are definitely strangers to me.
