Are Jehovah's Witnesses Psycopaths?

i have been thinking that jws display an organizationally officially promoted form of thinking that makes them psycopaths!.

what i mean is, any person who enjoyed reading and leaning about past gruesome deaths, or who justified such things as being normal or acceptable would be deemed to be dangerous to society...a psychopath.

(by this i am refferring to the content of the bible of course).

As a 'successful' fader, I can look back now and see from a more objective point that the organisation is a horrible mix of wolves and lambs - pshycopaths / sociopaths and drones. And, yes, it takes a psychopath to run an organisation with a set-up like the WTS's. Therefore, only psychopaths and sociopaths will ever make it beyond the level of C.O, as I see it.

Watchtower Society Over JWs Fielding Techno-propaganda In Germany And U.S.

watchtower society over jws fielding techno-propaganda in germany and u.s. former jehovah's witness stephan wolf is sending material out of germany that i have just begun receiving and researching.

for example i found a link off of a link that indicates the watchtower society appears to be trying to improve its public image as more christian (and less of a cult) there by putting individual jws up to airing a public radio program about christ http://www.radio-nachgefragt.de/ which is based out of the town of bochum.

previously http://www.standfirm.de/ was formed supposedly by private citizens without watchtower society direction to air the idea that the watchtower society had led jws in germany into heroic resistance against the nazi dictatorship even though the reality is that though there were heroic jws who did what they could and sometimes died as martyrs, wts branch head erik frost actually sold germanys jws out to the nazis.

CAN WE SOLVE THE MYSTERY of why Watchtower doctrines changed when they changed?

if a person gives a police report of a traumatic event, but later changes their facts during cross-examination, these changes are used to impeach the honesty of the witness.. this impeachment flows from a logical understanding facts must match reality without contradiction.. lets examine the history of the watchtower corporations leaders with a view to the harmony of.

true teaching over a period of years from 1879-1942.. "even though christmas is not the real anniversary of our lord's birth, but more properly the annunciation day or the date of his human begetting (luke 1:28), nevertheless, since the celebration of our lord's birth is not a matter of divine appointment or injunction, but merely a tribute of respect to him, it is not necessary for us to quibble particularly about the date.

we may as well join with the civilized world in celebrating the grand event on the day which the majority celebrate - "christmas day.

Brilliant post, Terry. Well articulated ! Now, to attempt to answer your question as to the cause(s) behind the changes, my thoughts are captured in one word, "exigencies" !

And to dropoffyourkeylee :"I have always had the suspicion that the no-Christmas, no_Thanksgiving, prohibitions were to create a rift between the family members who stayed with the WT and those who went with the 'evil slave' of the time, the various Bible Students movements. I grew up in the Chicago area in the '60's and even at that time there were family members of the living JWs who were in the other movements."

I must admit that I never reasoned along that line until now, Now, it sounds quite plausible, especially when you consider these changes as the "first baby steps" towards adopting excommunication or disfellowshipping as an instrument for enforcing adherence and group cohesion.

My take, previously, on the no-Christmas, no-birthday, no-blood and all the other no-nos was that they served to set the organisation apart from mainstream churches and create a hoo-hah that kept the organisation in the headlines ! Let's face it, if the organisation didn't have a catalogue of no-nos, they would simply have greyed out and their members absorbed into mainstream churches. Hence, it's all exigency, exigency, exigency ! going back to Terry's question.

This penchant for controversy has certainly worked well for the organisation !

@ BERRYGERRY : Thanks for the update. The link to the court proceedings is really appreciated. Good work ! Never knew about this case at all. The WTS is the proverbial leopard that cannot change its spots!

This is nothing short of a stick-up without the gun. The WBTS is basically mugging the Sawdon brothers for their rightful inheritance ! I mean, I left the organisation because I had come to the conclusion that it is not God's organisation but reading about this case just highlights to me that I will never fully understand just how evil and brazen the WBTS is ! Simply too many issues to unpick from this case about the WBTS and its agent, Mr Pole .

While the grounds for this case remain largely a mystery to me, I am sure there are folk here who can shed some light on the following questions that now bug me, namely:

Was Arthur Sawdon ever a JW ? If not, how on earth did he arrive at the decision to make the WBTS a beneficiary of his hard earned money ? Did Mr Pole play any role in leading Arthur Sawdon to that decision ?

but the brother knew his ttatt well.

the elders really couldn't muster any half-way convincing arguments to refute the damning facts on 607 and 1914. even 1975 was touched on.
