You can still have them, but you can't call it a congregation picnic. This is because someone could get hurt at the picnic and then sue the organization.

It's Foolish to Believe the Watchtower Will Always Be Around.
by kneehighmiah inseptember 11, 2001. riding the bus to school that tuesday morning we discussed the implications of the monday night football game between the broncos and the dolphins.
by lunchtime our entire world have changed dramatically.
america had passed into a new era that would lead to major changes.

Cults will always be around. But how many cults of the 70s and 80s are still here? The WT will die and a new cult will take it's place. Some current JWs may join a new cult. This will happen soon. LDS are not isolationist. they will survive. Uneducated isolationist cults like the JWs have a short life cycle. WT is overdue. The leadership knows it and they have already cashed out.

If there are no new converts the religion will die slowly. if a scandal were to happen then more people would exit. Because the religion is so rigid and only accepts devoted members, it could not survive a Catholic Church level scandal. The catholic church survived because most Catholics feel free to go to church without devoting their entire life to the religion or being forced to agree or face expulsion. JWS do not have this option. Being a catholic requires minimal sacrifice. being a jw requires enormous sacrifice. Eventually people will realize it's not worth the sacrifice. They will see top many holes in jw theology to devote all their time to the cause. Vacation pioneering, no fun, no college, paintball or nice televisions. Not worth it. JWs must allow casual members or face extinction soon.

September 11, 2001. Riding the bus to school that Tuesday morning we discussed the implications of the Monday night football game between the Broncos and the Dolphins. By lunchtime our entire world have changed dramatically. America had passed into a new era that would lead to major changes. And it didn't happen overnight. It happened between breakfast and lunch.
On that day in 2011 a number of other things would have been considered unrealistic. Gay marriage and a black president. Here we are less than 15 years removed from that day and both things have happened. Things change and they change fast. The internet and the Information Age have accelerated change. It is only a matter of time before the WT is thoroughly exposed. Perhaps it will be in a Wikileaks style release of private files. The only reason the organization is still here, is because the internet wasn't invented during the Ray Franz apostasy scare. already the organization cannot recruit new member effectively in developed countries. The organization leadership knows this. They also know they cannot stop negative information. So they try to poison the well of information as being from satan. These methods will only work for so long.
I believe the organization will no longer exist in its current form in 10 years. while the corporation will still exist, the JW religion as it's knowN today will not.

Midweek Meetings no longer Necessary
by Tech49 ini am sure we have all seen the recent letter to the boe concerning the change that will take place to the meeting arrangement during the week of the co visit.
to recap the basics: the meeting that usually contains the cong bible study (book study) and a co talk will be discontinued, publishers are encouraged to use their family worship night that week to cover book study material.. so here is a point that i think has been missed, or not even considered:.
if that particular meeting is hereby deleted from the schedule, the co and his wife will never ever have to participate in or go to another "book study", or "bible study" night again.

Dictators always provide loving solutions to the problems they themselves created. Just like this weeks watchtower, "don't be discouraged because you can't meet our unrealistic standards." How loving! Now we have one less thing to do during the CO week. How loving!

I've been following these posts carefully. I've been looking for something historic. this convention seems like a real let down. Other than the new media tie-ins it seems like the same regurgitated stuff we heard last year.

For All Of Us That Doubt 1914...
by pixel infor all of us that think the wt/gb/fds will fade away 1914, this is what they have to say on a news release from the website talking about the international convention: .
the program will highlight a central theme of the bible and two core beliefs of jehovahs witnesses: that gods kingdom was established in 1914 and that jesus christ is the king of that kingdom.
really, the convention marks the centennial of gods kingdom.. lol.

Anti JW Internet Banner Ad Campaign
by kneehighmiah ini would be willing to donate if some of the big anti watchtower activist worked together to create an anti-jw internet banner ad campaign.
one click could change lives.
for example the material on jwfacts could irreversibly damage the faith of even the strongest jw in under an hour.

Whois Candace conti? And why is the watchtower paying her 20 million? I would love for the organization to be forced to publicly address this issue.

After this newest donation push I think a lot of people would be upset to learn that their money is going to pay Candace Conti. They will want to know why this is being hidden. The ad could ask people if they knew we lost a 20 million dollar decision. Then the linked article could supply facts from reputable news sources. Then people will want to know what else they're hiding, and may follow another link to jwfacts. sensationalist claims will have little impact on JWs. Accusing the organization of killing people and breaking up families will not work.
