A time to recognize

it's my time to recognize the faults that i've made.

in my case, i was inattentive, uncaring, selfish, and aloof.

it has brought me to this time in my life the waking call of my errors.

i was something like 20-21 and there was this young sister, maybe 16 who i happened to like back in the day ... uh oh ...we met in the summer convention because i made the first move while she was playing board games with her friend.

we kept in touch via skype and text messages because lived kinda far from each other.

eventually her mother heard of the stuff and said to her daughter that the chatting must stop.... well, when two people have a little crush on one another, it sure doesn't.

Someone like you would undoubtly mistake her for even a little older." - Not sure how to put this but I've got some news for you buddy, guys who are much than 20/21 might be interested if they're given half a chance especially if your daughter doesn't tell the guy how old she is.

Question for believers, heaven or earth?

just trying to figure out what i believe in the wake of leaving the borg.

jesus message appeals, of course.

i just wanted to ask believers, christians, on this forum if you think the hope is heaven or earth.

@Tornintwo - Yea I know and I hope my post didn't come over harshly. Certain aspects of life seem to be about luck/chance, whatever you wana call it finding a partner, job etc. Some people seem to have all the 'luck' they meet someone nice, love/enjoy their job, settle down, have great friends and others dont i.e they're unemployed can't find/get work, wrong choice of partner/can't get a partner or they just scrape by financially. Now I'm just waffling :)

It would be nice if God renewed the earth, see dead loved ones again..I mean how many people would love to restart life and make different choices? Whose to say life would be any better in heaven.

I appreciate everyone has a view/opinion Tornintwo but "Where murder is a worse sin than adultery" - Adultery can murder others mentally i.e the innocent/hurt party - perhaps that's a bit drastic but you catch my drift.

it's true, leaving the organization does not mean you leave god.

as someone who was raised in the "truth" i always heard the messaging that if you leave the organization you leave god and lose his protection.

after disassociating myself, i even believed that and began on a path of self-destructive behaviour as i was leaving behind every relationship i had ever known and very ill equipped to live in the "real world" growing up, i always felt there was a higher power and our purpose was more than living a few decades.

Making my own decisions for the first time.

growing up in the truth for me has always been fulfilling.

always had the love for it with all of my supporting friends, which still do.

You have a new apartment already? That was quick I guess. I've been separated for about 10 months, it's not easy. Some days I'm up, some days I'm down. I just take each day at a time. Granted though I don't have any children whereas you do.

real friendships aren't conditional.".

i'm sorry, but that just isn't really true.. if you and i were friends, there are conditions.

I think the question is would a good friend sleep with their friends partner? What does it say about the guy who was probably sleeping with both women? And what does it say about the friend who was acting like a good friend whilst having sex with their friends husband behind her back?

dating even though not scripturally free to do so

wondering what to think...i'm recently divorced from my jw spouse ( i was never a jw).

we have a 11 year old son who is being forced to attend meetings and have all the beliefs that ex has.

i'm constantly being told what i should do and i'm supposed to go along with ex on whatever he says because apparently the "head of the family" continues after divorce in his world.

I hope no one think I'm hijacking this thread, just wanted to add my thoughts. My wife and I separated about 10 months ago. I miss being in a relationship. If I found someone I wanted to be in a relationship with then I don't see any reason I couldn't be. (I faded about 4 months btw)

I don't want to play devils advocate but if you're divorced does it matter whether you or your ex is in a new relationship. Surely you're the only one getting hurt/cut up by it? I think if my wife started dating someone of what concern would it be to me? Just saying anyway :)

Britain Branch Construction - UPDATE

definitely something going in the london bethel.. i thought i'd ask them again (and record it again) what the situation was regarding the new britain branch construction work.. i got the same sister (debbie) and here is how the conversation went: .

me: i've been told that construction of the new branch has been stopped - is this true?.

debbie: no, it has not ceased, it's carrying on as normal - can i ask where you're calling from?.

I have it on good authority Chelmsford is continuing as normal. However, all KH builds and refurbs have been stopped.
