Simon, How do you sustain this website?
by Wonderment insimon,.
first, i hope you and your family are having a nice christmas.. we are at the end of the year, so it's time to ponder a bit about how grateful we should be to you and all the contributors for making this site for what it is.
i have noticed other jw's forum related sites come and go, but this one has held steady for many years.

The moment Simon starts asking for money we will know he no longer has Jehovah's blessing :D
Well I hope in time you generate a profit even if it's just a small one from the ads :)

Rivalry among the sisters
by Esmeralda001 inwhen i was first introduced to the "truth", i was so distracted by the love and affection that the members were showing me that i was ready to convert into the religion without thinking twice.
i was conviced that jws were god's people (i still think some of them are).
i made it my goal to get baptized as i wanted to be part of the "only" religion that produce such good people.

@KateWild - All the best with your new career goals. I completed my diploma in the last couple of weeks at 30yo. Guna start my degree and new job in January. It's an admin post for a finance team and hopefully work my way.
Even though I'm part qualified it's been such a challenge to get my foot in the door because companies want experience too. But my advice keep trying and perserving and I wish you all the best Kate.

Congregation in U.K. "executed"!
by The Searcher inlatest from a reliable source: .
"more news from the south-west of england.cinderford congregation has been terminated.
if you look on jw.org it hasn't disappeared yet (dec 20th 2015) but it's meeting time is shown as sunday at 10.00 am and that is not possible, as lydney who shared the same hall are listed as sunday at 10.30 am.cinderford and lydney shared a hall in parkend, lydney, gloucestershire.

Seeking advise on going to college/university
by joe134cd inhere is the current situation of an acquaintance of mine.. age early 40s.
currently lost her good paying job.. managed to find another reasonably quickly.
although be it with not good money but with the possibility of been able to take an adult apprenticeship which would increase her pay over time.. she is also looking into going to university in the new year.. here is the question i have bearing in mind the above scenario.

I went to bethel and left when I was around 25. Im now 30 and completed my diploma in accounting. I wish I would of done it earlier. I managed to get a student loan to pay for some of it. But it has still cost me around £2,000 and I've had to spend alot of time revising (this is on top of working full time). -
