Praise For Witnesses On Welfare Who Full Time Pioneer!

the watchtower has always praised witnesses who are on welfare and decided to pioneer.

many in my congregation, including my mom, were given kudos, praise and assembly parts because they took advantage of jehovah's provision through the government....did you notice this, or was it obvious to me because i was raised in the inner city and many people recieved government help?.

my mentally in jw wife is trying to organize a "princess party" for my 4 year old daughter and her little cousins and friends.

she was looking at prices of a tent for the backyard party in case it rains.

she asked the hardware store how much and they said 90 dollars for the day.

Jim Penton's beloved wife Marilyn died today.

her suffering is finally over.

marilyn has been battling cancer for about three years and at times it looked like she would win.

but in the last few months the cancer spread.

Update on Fading Question

the other day i posted my delimma about dealing with family and leaving.. update: my wife came home from the hall sunday (i have now missed about 3 weeks in a row) and the elders now want to schedule a sheperding call.. should i just blow them off, or when they come over (because im sure my wife will have them over even if i decline) just tell them i cant do it right now?.

You don't have to do anything you don't want to do. That's your right as an adult. Be loving but firm with your wife, tell her you will not be bullied by these people.

i went to a lovely church wedding saturday, followed by a reception.

SoWhatNow, So sorry you have and are having such a rough time. You need to break the cycle, you are in control OK??? Remember that.

There is Alcoholics Anonymous for spouses and families of those who drink. There are women support groups and refuges, they will help you. Let's face it, you are in an abusive marriage, psychologically. This is the most important step, seeking and asking for help. You will meet others who are in the same situation.

After that, when you are strong again, go to church (if you feel the need to), try voluntary work, helping out in a hospital coffee shop will get you out and interacting with people again.

There is a life out there for you. You just gotta take that first step to reach out for it.

i knew many elders and servants over the years being counseled because they rarely answered.. funny thing....my mom who is 88 cries if she doesn't give a comment.
