i was a jw for many years.

during those years i learned how to identify a false religion.

all the other religions were easy to prove false.

... but most of my new (post jw) friends either don't know my birth date (if people don't specifically ask i won't tell them), or they are 2500 kilometers away in the netherlands... so all that's left to celebrate with me are my hubby, the two doggies, cat and my two rabbits... mixed feelings, i miss my friends and family around and haven't found friends in spain yet.

luckily our daughter will visit us the end of the month... and yesterday we've found a new rental house and we're moving into it next month already!

i'm thrilled and really looking forward to it, then we will finally be able to let all the rest of our belongings come to spain (2/3 of our stuff is stored in the netherlands).. so with this in mind, i'll just say 'happy birthday to me' and will enjoy my third birthday in espana .

My DF'd father going in for cancer surgery

in january or february of this year, my father was df'd for viewing pornography.

he was diagnosed with a rare-ish lung cancer in august, it doesn't have good recovery odds.

he had been struggling with a porn problem for awhile, asking the 'brothers' for help.

Very sorry to hear about your Dad and his problems. He should have been given more help for his addiction. It's an illness, not a sin for god's sake.

May you find the strength and courage to help him through the dark days.

other than the story, the comments are very interesting, tons of comments by other blacks claiming the same thing happens to them.

not only other blacks but their families as well bully them, calling them oreo, traitor, etc.

Bigmac, I have to be careful here. If I say she's a cow, that is insulting your taste in women and if I say she's a doll, you might hate me!!!!

I actually thought she was nice, very earnest and zealous about the truth but UNDERNEATH a nice person. She has just been brainwashed like all the rest of the drones. There are a lot of people I've met who would have actually been nicer if they weren't witnesses. Talk of the devil, though???

think about it, you can write down any time you feel like.. when you are out in fs, tell them i have a return visit .. the person prefer i come alone and then go home and take a. nap....assembly time, volunteer to work in the parking lot,leave.

Yes, of course I did mean September 2013!!! Time has really flown. There has been a few bumps in the road but I NEVER regret leaving.

BigMac, as I know the ex Mrs Mac, I can just imagine her face!!! How funny. I had a bit of a "falling out" with my Mum just before she went to Twickenham. I have blocked her number on my house phone now. I just cannot cope with her attitude to her her ONLY grandson, not even sending him a few quid for the school holidays but she got a taxi from Portsmouth to Twickenham!!!!

That article in the WT just did my head in. I knew it was time to pack up and move out. Could someone please post the link to that article, so I can read it again. What a joke it all was. Thank you.
