  for those who were looking for this book in pdf!.

  for many years the watchtower society sold and quoted from "the two babylons" as a source to defend their doctrines on the trinity, christmas, the cross, and even baptism!

  i don't think any more needs to be said about this book.

  My recommendation ... let the CO take care of the records when he visits. It's winter in Illinois, no need for Monday off for golf. Let the lazy Pharisee do something for his keep, surely he won't be studying Scripture.

  MY WITNESS FRIEND DIED

  further to this topic i started a few weeks ago: http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/124404/1.ashx i just found out that she died the other night.

  we hadn't been close in a number of years, due to me becoming inactive, but i remember alot of the good times too.

  she was older than me and offered to study with me when i was 14, which led to my getting baptized.. i remember that she tried for several years to get pregnant, and how happy she was when she finally conceived.

  Mary my condolences. My friend Bill, former father-in-law died 2 weeks ago in Mass. after a wicked 2 year illness. His wife is a JW in good standing, but he had faded (assemblies but not much more). She asked the BOE to read a few scriptures at the funeral, but they "COULDN'T." So my former wife's new husband (hair down to his ass and beard) read the passages of scripture at the funeral parlor as dozens of JWs sat there (in support for her, the hell with him). Talk about Bible Students, they couldn't even read from God's word, because Bill wasn't in "good standing."

  What do you do in your free time?

  just want to get some ideas.

  i haven't had much of a free time in last two years particularly last year or so, well till last week anyway.

  recently, i've tried taking latin dancing lessons but managed to get only to first session (well i'll go again this week but have already skipped two) this morning i've visited local sport center and tomorrow night i'm restarting my old flame as it were :) martial arts.. why am i saying that?

  DOES ANYONE STILL NOT CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS???

  just wondering if anyone still does not celebrate xmas since leaving jws.....or like me do you think"to hell with it", and join in the festivities.

  if you do celebrate it, do you still have pangs of guilt for celebrating this "pagan" festival???.

  I celebrate daily! When I left the congo my first year we cut down a 10 foot tree and decorated it with beer cans and back dated Kingdom Ministries. We had an Apostatefest and drank vast amounts of alcohol. Years later, 4 of the people from that party are dead, and I look back at a great Xmas (we sent Bethel the pictures). Haven't had one since. Maybe it's time for a slobering Santa solstice?

  2006 SERVICE REPORT - Feb 1, 2007 WT

  i'm not sure if anyone's posted this yet, but here are the figures for the 2006 service report.

  i highlighted the countries that have either a "0" or negative growth in yellow and i highlighted key countries where the you would expect more growth......i tried looking for england's stats, but i couldn't see it.

  i looked under "england" and "united kingdom" but i can't see it.

  High propaganda Dec 15th WT study articles - the end is nigh!!

  (could someone kindly format this for me into paragraphs where i have put a [ as i use mozilla firefox).

  probably already been threads about these, but major puke alert with the first and third study articles in the dec 15th 2006. the society are really ramping up the doomsday rhetoric with these.

  [the first study article is entitled "the great day of jehovah is near".

  Boy, that article is enough to make me want to attend! B.S. It's like believing that the Creator speaks only to the pukes in Brooklyn, and they have responsibility to share it with the world. What a ludicrous notion that only THEY hear the Creator's voice...and by the way, hear it wrong each time.
