If they think suicide is so wrong and then drive people to it by disfellowshipping them or threatening them with disfellowshipping why does the Watchtower have funerals for them as Jehovah Witnesses. Does anyone know? I remember years ago they were completely against cremation. Does anyone know if they changed their stupid rules again??

also i am wondering if there will be any lawsuits on the destructive doctrine of disfellowshipping and breaking up family ties?

I am sorry for the crummy way you were treated. You do not deserve to be treated with so much disrespect. Especially after what happened to you. It is so sad that they break up families with their disfellowshipping doctrine. Have you contacted Love and Norris Attorney's. I do think in time they will have law suits due to the disfellowshipping business. I am sure many would agree that those teachings cause suicide and depression. I hope and pray you are alright Singing Man, if you need a friend let me know. It will be interesting to know exactly how many families have been broken up due to bogus teachings.

Poor JW dies from heat stroke
by reubenfine ini woman in mesa, arizona whom i've known for over 30 years recently died in her mobile home.
83 years old and too poor to afford the added electricity of air conditioning on her $500/month social security check, she was found dead in her chair with a fan blowing on her.
the elders said they didn't know.

That is so wrong to neglect our elderly. Do you remember all the articles on taking care of our parents, grandparents ect? The best thing they could do is forget about that "good news" and show they have a heart for others. Too bad some of that money couldn't be used to help these people that so desparately need help. How about just visiting them or calling them to see how they are.

lisa suggested that if anyone would like to express love to atty it would be appreciated to send a contribution toward atty's last expenses.
lisa will be at atty's apartment for another 3 weeks, more or less, to clean things up.

Yes, Pat's life was very sad. However we can all remember her for her courage and for her bravery and that she cared so much for others to stand out in front of "Ted" and ask him the question I would have asked if I had the honor to be there . God bless Pat and her family and may she continue with her work up there with God.

by pettygrudger ini'm sure this one has gone round the mulberry bush a few times, yet i haven't seen it.. as a parent, i know the level of affection & unconditional love that i have for my children.
they could become serial killers, and although i would be in agreement that they must pay the consequences for their actions, i wouldn't stop loving them.
if they came to believe differently than i, or if they chose a course of action that i didn't approve, my love for them would continue anyways.
