This religion is hemorrhaging young men and women. The millennials along with established older mature men in the congregation are not bothering to reach out to be a MS never mind an elder. Many brothers today do not want to sacrifice themselves to this religion. Most of these men do not qualify simply because they are low hour publishers and refuse to change their situation. They are contented to warm a seat at the KH.
When the workhorse publishers from yesteryear, those 75 and over pass away, this religion will feel the lack of leadership and willingness in the congregations. Many have predicted that eventually the GB will resort to even more videos to be shown on a fulltime basis to cover the weekly meeting parts.
I am relieved to know that Bro. Splane and his cronies LOVE ME so much; I’ll sleep better tonight knowing that.
Seriously, I cringe whenever they say with no sincerity whatsoever, “Rest assured brothers that the GB WUVS you very much”...blah, blah, blah. What total twaddle!!!

Marriage Proposal in the Kingdom Hall
by Listener injust when you think you've seen it all comes another interesting use of a kingdom hall.a young man serenades his girlfriend with a song (possibly a watchtower song) from the stage through a microphone and backed by recorded music.
then he steps off the stage and gets down on one knee and proposes as he pulls out a ring from his coat pocket.
the large projector screen flashes up behind them with a picture of a sapphire and diamond ring.cameras capture the joyous moment as she accepts and they lock together in a loving hug.

Are JWs capable of a genuine discussion?
by stuckinarut2 ini was just pondering whether jws are capable of having a calm, in depth discussion about religious or faith topics?.
i have just finished listening to a great podcast by "dogma debate" (dan) episode 333. this fantastic, in-depth conversation between a theist and an atheist was a masterful example of how a dignified conversation can take place without it resorting to abruptness or even nastiness.. jws on the other hand seem incapable of having such discussion without ending up in the following ways:.
1)they get dogmatic and defensive if a differing view is presented.. 2)if the conversation doesn't go their way, they cut it short saying something like "well, we had better agree to disagree" or the like.. so why the arrogance?

The Pew Research Center that analyzes religions shows that JW’s consistently attain the least amount of education as a group. It’s no surprise that they also have the lowest annual income as a group.
However, regardless of this you cannot tell a JW anything constructive. As soon as it’s negative in the slightest, or not entirely positive about them and their leaders the conversation is over.
They are not allowed to fact check their beliefs or openly debate any interpretations. Regardless of all this, they display an extremely unjustified level of arrogance and overconfidence about themselves.
Remember only they will be saved and have all the answers. You cannot teach them anything, they are on earth to teach us, and don’t ever forget they have the Best Life Ever.
