Overlapping Generation

the september 2015 broadcast had david splane explain matthew 24:34 “truly, i say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place”.

his explanation of this scripture was by means of a chart to indicate an overlapping generation.. .

no scripture was used to show the overlapping generation concept, and as a result it makes no sense.. to illustrate how crazy this concept is, look at the lyrics of the song my generation.. my generation.

this was prompted by trump using the term peace and security a few times in 2017 and 2018, and the excitement this generated amongst jehovah's witnesses.

Thanks Paul, for updating this subject. For most active JWs, it still is their favourite “go to” prophecy whenever anything happens politically that might remotely seem to indicate that they finally got a prediction right. As usual, it just fades away into the annals of time with the JWs disappointed once again.

Bringing Your Files Up To Date!

several of the members here have written to us and remarked that they would like to bring their file folders up to date.. some believe they are missing a letter, form, or manual here or there.

so, i asked atlantis to put a folder together for me to send out to folks, so that they could bring their files up to date and fill in missing documents.. the file folder he put together has everything you can think of in it.

including the kitchen sink, bedroom slippers, and extra toilet paper just in case there is another shortage.. the folder goes back 10 years.. 2010 to 2020--06--04 right up until today.

Remember Those in Full-Time Service (1945 - 2015)

despite being childhood sweethearts, in the year 1941 they decided to postpone marriage and remain single and childless in this system so as to put the the theocracy first, albeit under the control of the watch tower society.. in the final pages of the children book john and eunice walk silently through the fields and stop by a great tree on the river bank where they had sometime before discussed their future plans.

the young lovers seat themselves down and look over the landscape.

BluesBrother created a post recently on today’s WT study March 1, 2020 taken from the Dec 2019, study edition regarding having and raising children. The title of this article is “Parents Train Your Children To Love Jehovah.” Many have expressed their viewpoints and observations on this WTS teaching of refraining from having children if possible to make more time for the ministry.

I decided to bump up an interesting discussion from five years ago along this similar angle. The WTS really has nothing new to offer. At all cost, regardless of damaging advice and counsel given or false predictions made… “The Organization” is of utmost importance & MUST survive no matter the collateral damage.

This religion needs its own day of reckoning.
