this is a local news item.

i doubt the link will last more than a day.

it appears the man had no connection to the jw's previously, he just considered them an "easy mark".

you know, it's weird, there's an apartment complex right across the street from my apartments, and last year some whack job wearing underwear and a snorkel mask terrorized them with a samuri sword! i'm not even kidding! wonder if its the same guy?

Blasphemy

i was asked how come the bible says that god forgives blasphemy to the father and the son, but not the holy spirit.

if they all are god, what makes the person of the holy spirit more important regarding blasphemy than the father or the son.

sorry, i don't know much about the bible, but i'm trying to learn here, alright?

Jw Meet-ups

i decided that i will attend one this saturday.

i am a little nervous because i am going alone.. i need to make friends and i though this would be a good place to start doing that.

when i went to my sis' graduation party a couple of months back i saw all these people i'd grown up with in the truth, and most of them, including my stepdad's brother who i've known since i was a little kid, didnt even recognize me anymore! i mean, sheesh, i look a *little* different now, but i've only been gone three years, you'd think theyd still be able to tell who i am! yep, i think i'm dead and buried to them.

Buying out the opportune time

all of my life, i was told by the society that i should buy out the opportune time.

to them, this phrase meant that i should cut down on watching tv or some other worthless activity, and of course, spend that newfound time worshipping the great publishing company.

well, since i stopped going to meetings on april 10, 2002, i have discovered an entirely new and far more enjoyable application for the admonition to buy out the opportune time.
