hey one and all!!
i am new to this and just wanted to say hi!
i live in s. california and am looking for some good advice and/or friends in this area.
i'd welcome you, but you're a lakers fan...
so...as fast company magazine used to ask - what are you working on?.
i have a screenplay i work on occasionally (a romantic comedy) and a nonfiction book about the area in which i grew up.. i also have a wedding in a year, and we are looking for a house to buy.. so what are y'all working on?.
and how can we support you?
I don't think I have a pet project.
and what exactly do you call running the diet pop club, dr?!?!
my pet project du jour is learning latin. i give it three weeks before i move on to something new...short attention span, i guess other than that, i'm always reading about 50 books at once and maintaining my sketchbooks. i'm also trying to get through the bible - this time, NOT the NWT

i've always "enjoyed"(?
) walking thru cemeteries, especially older ones, when i travel.
i guess that's because in the western us we really don't have very many old cemeteries, and i find it an interesting window on history and lives.. in lexington, there was a grave that had the headstone marked with "i told you i was sick" (at least, that's what we heard on a local tv news story while we lived there).
my boyfriend wants his to read "inventor of the chocolate chip cookie". i dont know HOW he came up with that, but he asked me to make sure it happens.
is anybody going to get dressed up this year?
take little ones trick or treating?
parties?
Here's mine, i think:
.
if you had your whole adult life ahead of you, what career would you choose to pursue and why?.
i'd choose marine biologist or scientific research.....because i wouldn't hafta deal so much with people's attitudes, marine life is beautiful and fun, science of this planet is interesting....it *can* be a lucrative field, depending on which aspect of it i choose to pursue.... frannie b
Tink, whatever path you choose, just be sure to check out the "down sides" with others who've followed it before you, cherie!
will do ... please point me in the direction of an artist-horse trainer-ballerina-therapist-personal trainer who writes children's literature in his/her spare time ;)
wow.
my father was also 56 when i was born.
letterman's been letterman for so long now, it's hard to imagine him as a dad.. letterman to become a dad.
If he is, he desparately needs a makeover by the Fab Five from "Queer Eye For the Straight Guy"!
if he is, wouldn't he need a makeover from 'queer eye for the queer guy'? ;)
revelation 4, 5, 11 & 19 talk of twenty four elders, before the throne of god.. the wts interpretation has them as the anointed in heaven, but that just doesn't wash, as they are seen to be observers of events that apparently involve folks still on earth.
by their account they have 23.5 elders in heaven and half a body on the ground, so to speak.. any ideas who these are?.
(i have an speculation, which i'll mention later).
wow, my dad lived in temecula last i heard....maybe he's one of them! :P
i'm sure i'm not the only mom here who would love to exchange ideas for kids' school lunches.
i don't know about anyone else, but my daughters' school (junior kindergarden - grade 8) has a nut-free policy that requires compliance for the good of the kids who have severe allergies to nuts.
pre-packaged foods have to be carefully examined for even traces of nuts.
My all time favorite lunch is tomato sandwich, i have it almost every day. all you need are a couple of slices of tomato, mustard, and two pieces of sourdough bread. :)
