iM STILL WONDERING WHAT WILL THE SOCIETY DO NEXT. They have major problems at hand even though all of these moves dissimulate the real issues that wts faces: blood, time of the end, child abuse policy. THings which have hurt people. Isnt any new light brewing?

that is why many departments in the wts have merged, others eliminated.
the lates gossip from betthel a couple of years ago was that bethel was downsizing and many bethelite would be sned home and those leaving would not be repalced, also the sale of wt property, the printibg of literaure overseas normally done here and more prining done upsate ny would seem to indicate a move out of brooklyn, to patterson.

whatever god meant when he enjoined "abstinance from blood" to christians as belived by the wt, or when he commanded noah not to eat blood, and whatever the meaning is for people today of the laws that prevent the eating of blood and restricted the use of blood, certainly, based the way that jesus showed how god's laws should be applied, it makes sense that god did not mean that one should obey blood laws when eating or transfusing blood is the only means at hand to survive.

The r and f just dont understand the blood issue and are leaving the thinking to the Society even as the society backs away from the position a fraction at a time, and mking it a matter of concience, even as organ transplants are a matter of concience acoording to the wts, I know bros walking around feeling great with organ transplants today in good standing with the cong. As I metioned earlier, a sis died recently because she refused blood while bleeding profusely. NEWS had that on the radio.
The WTS is covered against any liablilty if in the future they lif the blood ban by simply asserting that jw make their free choice frm their conscience and that blood is risky and people have contracted aids from blood , blah blah. But all things considered, that sis would be alive today, had she not been a jw loyalist.
I think that the blood transfuion issue will sink the wts if God does not come to the rescue. Particularly id it comes public that people would be alive today had they accepted blood. I always hided my head in the sand too believing that God was taking care of all of that, I alaways lived my life with full faith and confidence in J. But now the wt is telling the rand f to plan for the future and to make decisons as when filing out the proxy. scary. It was easy when the wt made all decions for jws. The WTS has not shown to have the fiath it requires its followers to have because it is involved in the business of raising prophets, trading stocks, investing, making money, etc taking no chances. Unlike Jesus and early xtians who were not engaged in the business of financing the ppreachnig work but left that up to God,
I saw a cartoon with moses crossing the red sea wearing a life preserver as he led the jws out of egypt. REminds me of the Society. They tell the rand f to have blind faith, but they take no chances.
SAd, that time has shown them wrong on so many things, including the blood issue. : Although people have contracted infections and have died from blood transfusions, the majority of people treated with blood have benefited from the blood treatment, Sure in the past blood was only in a primitive stage compared to now, howvever, wouldnt it be nice if some of the JW people that refused blood in the past would be alive today, had they acepted blood as the wt allows today. Do you think that God would be so offended if the friends and families of those individuals would not have to miss those people in death as everyone dead and alive waits so to speak for the so called bible promises that jws believe.? Get this: The WTS does allow blood use, but THEY decide and dictate what blood parts can be used. "Blood is blood" to quote elders. THe wts teaches that some peoples concieces may allow them to use a LITTLE amount of blood used for rabies and tetanus shots. WHAT A COP OUT! concience or coercion?

It is very helpful to help jws decide freely what they want.Someone asked me: What is more valuable blood or the life it represents? That statement changed my past je stand on blood.
Do you have info on storing your own blood. I have no objections whatsoever of using my blood stored or whatever. Its my blood. I dont care about wt stand on this. Sure they will change soon enough on this.
I still cary my md card. Im afraid to leave home without it. But Im trying to rationalize not carrying it. JWS and their children are in great danger I think .

I have also posted and said things to posters that I shouldnt have either. But now I am more sensitive and can understand things better as you have just expressed.
I consider myself totally out of the box, but when I first lurked this board I was in the box and in my lurking opinion, much of the viws expressed on this board was apostate with the intended purpose of deiscredditing the wt.
I just read Garybuses freminds post and am more sensitivive to his feelings. People have been hurt as GaryB and others have. I know where posters are comming from when they say what they say.
I wont post informationas factual to guide aanyone al id it is not factual The wt has gotten into a lot of truble giving wackymedical advise in the past as quotes .com shows that now discredits them. But I appreciate any infirmation that is helpful are yours is.

Thanks for the info wed. Much appreciaited. Im no martyr. I want the best medical treatment because I want to keep on living and not to die without a cause. Of course many jws never are face with the blood issue, but as this thread mentions earlier a sister bled to death that would be alive today had she accpeted blood treament according to news. Lots of lurkers are faced with the dilema. The elders are not providing the answers. Some bros cannot fill out the proxy form. Its too confusing. Blind faith to quotr gopher.

the mind set automatically rejects any charges against the wts without examining facts obejectivle because the wts cannot be wrong.by definition jws view the wts as god's agency, so it cannot be wrong and even if it is wrong, it is for a reason that god is allowing it and it is god's arrangement and not the business of the rank and file to judge for themselves on that but,to leave it in j's hand and in time it will be taken care of.
in law that is called a catch all, which is sometimes the power that a judge is empowered with by the state to use his discretion and do whatever the hell he wants, pardon the phrase.. it is true that the wts has opoosers that distort facts and trump up charges in order to discredit the wts, but false accustaions against thewts do not camcel out real evidence that challenges the wt and above and beyond wt teachings is the evidence that puts a differebnt spin on and shows another perspective of the bible, and the concept of god affecting in peoples lives.

IM sure that some spiritual bros that fear no truth lurk this board. And elders, as shepperds of the flock can come to this board, read apostate material, and even talk to df ones. You would be surpised how many elders, and high ranking jws, "spiritual" as the adjetive describes, dont swallow all fds food at the proper time, and have views of their own but are still "ACTIVE" members of the org with a spiritual facade. Everyone has their reasons. But the terms spirutal acoording to wt definion means a jws who truly lives by all of the jw rules, and not one who lives a fcade and has and expresses "disloyal views" The preception of spirituality by the cong is of course puting on the show, regardless of what the individual does.
