What is the mood in the Kingdom Halls nowadays?
by JH inwhen i used to go the meetings in the late 80's, the mood was good, knowing that the end was close.
later on in the 90's while i still attended once in a while, people were starting to be less zealous and were starting to put their needs before those of the kingdoms.
people started to buy houses, instead of living in apartements, they were buying nicer cars, taking vacations far away, and mostly, the women started to work, to help pay for the better life style they were living.

AS always thesre is a facade of love but it is based on loyalty to an organization. People care about themselves, and this love thing that the congs say they have really means meeting and field service. If you can breathe you can preach and if you can walk you can come to the meetings, if you cant then the elders will see that you get a ride but only if you are a criplle or someones great grand mom. Some bros are genuine but the majority are onbnoxious and sarcastic and competitive pushinng their personality and wanting to control. Sure the bros mean well, but most of these guys are in it for themselvers to have a title and ro rule and the sis to be the respective wife of an elder or a pain the a- - who wants to take the lead and be a jw sis. They cannot deal with each other at the same level. Some one always has to be higher. I am down to earth person that gets fef up with this garbage. So mums the word. They wont get any info ou of me because it will only be sued to against you..
Things are not the way they were in the old days. Too leagl now. Its not fun anymore

Are JW"S coerced to refuse blood transfusions?
by fearnotruth22 injesus showed the intended purpose of god's laws, when he worked on the sabath, avoided answering the tax question, forgave sinners that were commanded to be put to death by god's law, etc.
what jesus showed when he seemed to be offending god to fanatics was that saving life is more important that obedience to laws.
whatever god meant when he enjoined "abstinance from blood" to christians as belived by the wt, or when he commanded noah not to eat blood, and whatever the meaning is for people today of the laws that prevent the eating of blood and restricted the use of blood, certainly, based the way that jesus showed how god's laws should be applied, it makes sense that god did not mean that one should obey blood laws when eating or transfusing blood is the only means at hand to survive.

WHAT'S NEXT AFTER "REFINEMENT"?
by fearnotruth22 infor years the wts has been focusing on being more efficient, refinement, etc.
that is why many departments in the wts have merged, others eliminated.
the lates gossip from betthel a couple of years ago was that bethel was downsizing and many bethelite would be sned home and those leaving would not be repalced, also the sale of wt property, the printibg of literaure overseas normally done here and more prining done upsate ny would seem to indicate a move out of brooklyn, to patterson.

Anti-Vaccination
by Elsewhere ini recently spoke with a few new mothers who are adamantly against vaccination.
they went on and on about horrible dangers associated with vaccinating your children.. even after listening to their stories i am very doubtful of the validity of the claims.
what is your view on this if you have one?.

Mean things that Elders have done
by galaxy7 init was during the drought when alberta and sask were in bad shape for hay.my husband was promised 100 bales (this was before the drought).when my husband was ready for the hay the elder said he couldnt have any ,in the field there were trucks picking up hay which he sold for double the price.so here we were with no promised hay to feed 32 horses.does anyone else have a story?

Our new baby girl !!
by Gopher inveronica was born to proud parents (yourschelbie and me) at 8:30 a.m. this past saturday morning, january 3rd.
she weighed in at almost 7 pounds (3.15 kg) , and is 18 inches (46 cm) long.
we're all doing fine.
