Hehe, both padlocks at my hometown KH used 1914 as the code. They probably still do.

Looking for a new laptop, any one own a tablet?
by thecarpenter ini'm in the market for a new laptop and the convertable tablet has caught my eye.

I wouldn't get another Dell laptop, although their monitors are great. I've had an Inspiron 8600 widescreen since Dec '03. The first one had to have a new motherboard put in because the power jack failed on the first day. Then the battery life was abyssmal. After about a year, I had to be plugged in at all times because of having about 11 minutes of battery life. Now the 2nd powerjack has failed and I can only charge in the docking station. Cheap components, and poor build quality, that's my opinion. My husband recently got a Gateway laptop, it's fairly low end, but with a 15.4" widescreen. He likes it better than the Dell, but the left mouse button on the touchpad has already gone belly up.

Maybe it's a fear that her husband thinks they are right, rather than herself thinking they are right?

LOL @ permafried. I felt that way for months afterwards. Needed a break from it all. Had enough massage too, I think I spent the first 6 months hoping nobody would touch me. I've recovered from THAT now, but still ain't normal. ;)

Strange Piece of Paradise by Terri Jentz. This is the story of the girl who got hacked up with an ax by a crazy man just outside of Bend, OR in the late 70s. It's a really good read, very compelling.

Can You Really Be Counted as an Apostate Publisher?
by Joker10 inpeople on this board have been been saying how they would never go door-to-door informing the public about their new jw views.
one reason, it has been said, is that jws would still be having an affect on them.
they don't want to spend their saturday mornings discussing the religion.

ugh, I HATED "The Historian" it was sooooo shallow. The premise was actually really good, but her writing was so juvenile it made internet Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan fiction look like literary genius.

What one thing reminds you most of being a Witness?
by free2beme inthe mind is full of all kinds of things that can trigger memories.
it could be the taste of a certain spice that reminds you of a now passed relative who liked to cook.
it could be the smell of a perfume or cologne, that reminds you of a lover you once could not live without.

'bout a week. My husband pointed the site out to me, and I immediately registered. But it took me a week before I saw something that I felt compelled to comment on. Haven't shut up since. ;)
