Did I read somewhere that the "Bethel Elder Arrangement" was ended? So they're all just "regular" elders now?

by Mary insome of you asked for a scan of the february 15, 2007 wt study on wives being in subjection.

Homeopathy popular in Jehovah's Witnesses ?
by Tigerman inis homeopathy ( the treatment of a disease using, in small doses, drugs that produce symtoms like those of the disease so that one's natural immune system can fight off the disease ) popular among active jw's ?
my son who was raised as a jw has a large ( adult male palm size ) fatty growth on his back.
his jw mother is treating him with homeopathy, as is a so called doctor.

Mulan said::: I want to be like Odrade and not comment on it, but I can't help myself.
I know, huh? First time in weeks I've (mostly) kept my mouth shut. Fine time to start, I tell myself. It's my New Year's Resolution. I suspect it won't last.

*blink* And then they have the gall to apply 2 Timothy 3:3 "having no natural affection..." to so-called worldly people. Shocking that a mother could treat her child this way. I'm sorry.

I use arnica, and it is recognized as an alternative treatment for sprain/strain, by many fields even outside the alternative community. It is not an arsenic derivative though. Arnica is produced from Arnica Montana, a lovely little flower that looks like this:
I think the second (arsenic)remedy Mulan is thinking of is Arsenicum Album, which is commonly used for chronic digestive complaints, as well as fever and chills.
I won't comment on the efficacy of homeopathy, other than to say I've used it for years, and find that some of it works very well for me.

Feb 15, 2007 WT Article: Women: Obey Your Hubbies!!
by Mary inpage 18 is the pathetic craptower article, telling women (who have apparently gotten above themselves) that they must be "obedient" to their husbands.
the entire article is nauseating, and obviously written by bitter old men who have major issues with the opposite sex.
i'm not going to write the whole thing, but here's a few 'highlights':.

Being materialistic, as a disfellowshipping reason.
by free2beme inmy sister and i, are my mothers only two children.
we were both witnesses at one point, i left ten year ago and my sister left in 2005. my mother remains as the only witness left in my immediate family.
while my sister and i make good money, with our careers and duel income in marriage, we don't talk about it much.

I don't think you can be df'd for materialism, unless you use illegal means to get your possessions. It may be that she flaunts her material things because that's the only way to get a leg up on the other sisters. She's a woman, third marriage, is her husband a "non-believer?" Does she pioneer? It doesn't sound like she has any personal power or status in the congregation. She may use wealth as a way to be noticed. Of course that doesn't excuse her behavior. She sounds like a real peach. *cough*cough* no offense.
