Anti-JW billboard going up in Texas

the first ever billboard has been crowd funded on reddit and will be going up.

i'm curious to know if it will cause a spark in any jw's who already have questions or doubts and lead them to research into the child abuse cases and lead them to the thought that the wt and gb are not inspired or gods mouthpiece.

at the very least it will provide people a topic of conversation and questions to the jw's who knock on their door: "so whats this whole sex abuse in kingdom halls thing about i saw on the billboard down the road?

do agree, theirs is directed more towards active JW's. I think it should look more like this so that non-jw's know who its addressed to and will be able to bring the topic up at the door when they come knocking:

$3,200 was the needed funds and it was achieved in less than a month. This is going up in TX but I would gladly contribute $$$ to one here in FL. Of course "our" billboard would have this site link along with JWFacts.com. I know Simon is against this type of "smear campaiging," but what are your thoughts? Do you see any value in this at all?

Fisherman, is there something outside of the voluntary and involuntary responses inside my body and organs keeping me alive and animating me right now? If so what is it?

Movement, Respiration, Sensitivity, Growth, Excretion, Reproduction, Nutrition can all be explained by physics and biology. You seem to suggest that I must first be "alive" before I can even carry out these processes. Define this "alive" state that exists prior to these processes being carried out please. Does exhibiting the processes define one as being "alive" or does being "alive" allow one to carry out the processes?

Elders want to meet with us, help!

when jws have called us we say we are amazing, everything is awesome much to their shock.

If you need to stay in the religion and maintain appearances then show a complete submissive attitude to the elders, align your thoughts and actions with them when in their presence and keep your personal opinions to yourself! Be careful.

However I do applaud you for what permanent positive impact you two may have had on the younger people you spoke to in order to encourage them to go to college. Perhaps in the future it will seem less persuasive of you to instead ask thought provoking questions and get other JW's to think critically rather than offer advice directly counter to WT teachings.

I would love to answer the door naked and try to give them all hugs and welcome them inside with big smiles. Surely they would decline and leave rapidly after failed attempts to get me to clothe myself in my own house and probably never come back AND I would FINALLY be put on a permanent do not call list to prevent females from having their eyes burst in flames.

WTBS and GB Not apologizing for financially bankrupting or degrading thousands perhaps millions because of false end time predictions/strong suggestions and blaming it on the readers, misquoting scientists, retracting the quotes and not apologizing, and being a part of the UN for 11 years and trying to hide it. Using world wide work funds to settle child abuse court cases and claim that the elders have "no duty to inform" the congregation of pedophiles.
