Wow! Its been so long since I heard the piano being played at the kingdom hall it actually gave me chills up my spine to hear your melody! Did I really QUICKEN the PACE as the keys were being struck faster and faster.I almost grabbed my old book bag and was heading out the door to the door to door ,door to door ,door to door,door to door ,as I broke out in a cold sweat I got control of myself and said to myself, 'Wait a minute that's the old MAESTRO,FARKEL himself,Whew! I don't have to go door to door anymore.I just can't get that tune out of my mind,you know the one they play at this time of the year."Peet Freens are a very natural cookie,don't let your kids get them they are for adults only,Peet or peek freens are a very natural cookie on and on the commercial goes.The brothers used to use this in the hall to demonstrate the effect xmas tunes and songs can have on us during the holiday season.But they never told us about the effect the kingdom songs had on us sung over and over again to motivate us to go to the meetings and door to door. Farkel you brought back memories of the songs that were sung along to the pace of the PIANO player who was always some old sister banging away at the keyboard.Here is one for you,"House to House, Door to Door "not for Blueblades anymore!

Best argument against a Jehovah's Witness?
by Happy indon't get me wrong, i'm not one to actively persecute jw's, i'm just wondering what you guys think is the best agrument/point to use when a pesky brother or sister just won't leave you alone.
normally, i am willing to listen to their drivel out of respect (even though i have no respect for the wt) but there are times when i am not in the mood to hear them babble.
i normally bring up the 1914 generation point, and it normally works.

Here is another one:I just can't comprehend why God would choose people who practiced,"PAGANISM",just about everything practiced by JW'S before 1935 is now considered Pagan! For example:They Voted and took part in government.Were allowed to participate in war.Could observe Christmas,birthdays,and other holidays.Were permitted to smoke.Were not against blood transfusions.Did not use the proper name for God.Did not have a proper organization.Believed that Jesus died on a cross.Were permitted to worship Jesus.Believed that all JW'S would go to heaven.Believed that Christ's invisible return occurred 1874.
Now if they come back with the stock answer that the light gets brighter and brigther! Your comeback answer to that is---Then it would seem that God would surely wait until the very end and choose those with the PUREST doctrines and practices to reign with Him!Not while they were still practicing PAGANISM,what do you think? The Next Teaching to Fall
by Blueblades inwhile many have had their hopes dashed concerning the change on this "generation " teaching, there is yet another teaching yet to fall very soon.it must and will fall because it connected to the generation doctrine that has already been changed.. the teaching that could shortly cause the governing body a serious problem and could bring about a major change for the vast majority of the rank and file is "the great tribulation".while this teaching has been put off to the " indefinite future"the gb.continues to have a serious problem with it.if the great tribulation fails to occur reasonably soon,the doctrine concerning the earthly hope for the vast majority of jw's.will have proven to have been false.the' great crowd' are those who will have come out of the great tribulation.according to the society those persons began to be identified as present as early as 1932.so the youngest members are now in their 70's or 80's.. again, the time-line is running out!
and has the potential of adversely affecting hundreds of thousands of other witnesses in the not to distant future,as time passes without the fulfilment of their hopes for a new heavens and a new earth.. also, some time ago,there was a watchtower study article, i don't remember which one it was .it spiritualized, armageddon!
psalm 91,especially verse 7.it said that a thousand will fall at your very side and ten thousand at your right hand,applies to those leaving the org.

Hi MR.SHAKITA, I'm familiar with your thoughts about the Great Crowd and Other Sheep and The 144,000 issues as to whether or not they are all the same indivduals all going to the same place or not etc.As you noted discussions on revelation interpretations are mixed and have been going on forever and each point can take up a post of its own.Thanks for your thoughts.My topic,"The Next Teaching to Fall" focuses on the-Time-Line running out for the Society! Proving again that they are False Prophets,and have given a False Hope to us olders ones who believed that we would survive the coming 'GREAT TRIBULATION' in our life time and be in a New Order Living Forever on a Paradise Earth never having to die and go to the grave in this old system of things.Blueblades

Hi EYESLICE,For the evidence you are asking for go to the Freeminds Site there you will find the ongoing purge of Bklyn Bethel from 1975 to the present along with the personal testimonies of those who were actively part of this underground movement that is still going on today.Further evidence is found in such publications as Apocalypse Delayed,which is a revealing history of what goes on inside Bethel,also Crises of Conscience, goes into naming names of those who have been purged from Bethel because they were part of this underground movement to try and improve things at the headquarters,doctrines policies etc.Blood on the Altar /AJWRB,Associated JW'S for Reform on Blood,The Gentile times Reconsidered,all reveal that there is still an undercurrent of dissent among those serving at the highest ranks inside Bethel.Some have openly spoke about these things.

Every situation is different.Age, relationships, health concerns,finances etc.For me its now time to get my affairs in order.I sacrificed doing this by giving all I had to the Society for over 30yrs.Now I must give attention to my retirement days shortly ahead.So,I tell them the truth.I need to get my affairs in order so I'll be away for a while. There are financial considerations I need to clear up ,health concerns addressed,after life preparations and other family concerns that need my undivided attention.I now need to work more to get the resources $$$$ so I can fulfill these scriptural obligations that the slave has encouraged us to do before it is too late.All the things mentioned require $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. which the society has plenty of and I don't.After 30yrs I lost track of how much $$$$$$$$ I put in their pockets ( for the kingdom of course)now its time to get some $$$$$$ and put some $$$$$$$$ away for the (golden years).If I don't, will the society give me some $$$$$$$$!!!!!!!.???????Blueblades

I thought that they clearly marked 1975 just six yrs. away from 1969 as the time when the GT., Armageddon, and the New System would be here?Now that it has not happened yet, they have put it off to the indefinite future.
Hi ANALYSIS! "On the world level they are still growing". Despite the continued growth the future does not seem bright for them.And it has been discussed here before that the figures of growth are questionable! But growth is not the question ,it is the truthfulness of the teaching that is the question.
Also,the legal dept.concerns itself with procedures and policy.The writing dept concerns itself with doctrinal issues such as when the GT. will arrive. Thanks for your input Blueblades

what should we believe about god, religion, death , life , war, health, sex etc.etc?
usually we search out other ideas or beliefs and again find ourselves groping for another "world view" that will , at last give us peace.

After leaving JWS.we experience much confusion.First off ,all kinds of persons have entered the org. of jws. for all kinds of reasons.And all kinds of persons have left for all kinds of reasons.Secondly,many go through a period of transition marked by uncertainty,even of doubting everything due to having suffered disillusionment.Thirdly,many are temporarily adrift.Fourth,many are searching for the root cause of all of this. Finally,the search begins with questions,one of the minds most powerful tools! Answers are hard to come by.Someone once asked,"Do we really need all the answers?"What can sustain us through all of this?I think love and concern for others,whatever they hold to wheter it be some kind of belief system or not.I myself feel as you do and have asked myself the same things you have raised here with your question.
I am going through a period of transition,marked by uncertainty,temporarily adrift,searching for the root cause of all of this.And it is this forum and the many who have contributed so much to it that has helped me to have a measure of peace through it all.
