INTRO, Then why does God initiate the relationship if it was not possible to start with.He is absolute and yet invites the relationship.Of cause this is according to the scripture, which without it is all up for grabs.

From the beginning, relationships have been woven into the tapestry of our lives. We were designed to experience intimacy, which is demonstrated in the human experience.People love a God whom they cannot see and they love others whom they can see.And people have a desire to want to know others personally and so it is with God.

Hi INTRO: I always enjoy reading your posts. You cause one to refect on things.Your response to my post makes perfect sense if I was asking about physical distance in space measurements. You are right when you concluded that the question is really what is going on with one's self.Thats exacty what the question was asking: Not in measuring distance, but, in the mind ,the thoughts, within one's self.as to moving toward, away,or staying the same.
If one chooses to believe it based on a belief system,God invites us to begin a personal relationship with him, without the impediment of physical things. So it is only in the mind in our thoughts that we can either move toward ,away or stay the same.
It wasn't intended to be a science question ,but, one of faith or belief.Sorry for not explaining or re-wording the question.

If You Never Were A JW, Would You Believe In God?
by minimus inso many here do not believe in god, now.
some are not sure he exists.
if you never had been a jehovah's witness, do you think that you might still believe in a creator, in god?

Hi MINIMUS ! Blueblades here! I was catholic before and was taught a belief system that consisted of the trinity, immortal soul, eternal punishment in a hell-fire for committing a mortal sin, purgatory for a venial sin,or, a heavenly reward for being good and a whole lot of other teachings.Would I still believe in God if I never was a jw.That's all I was ever taught, to believe in God.My deductive reasoning tells me someone created all that we know and more.I can't prove it to myself or anyone else.I also can't understand how that someone IS self-existent.
I want so much for God to be and for him to clear up so much wondering and remove sickness old age and death from his creation.
Like many others I find myself living this dilemma.

Thanks everyone.I don't find myself doing any of the moving at all.I'm not even staying the same as I was as a J W. As I stand still and search deep down within myself I now find an emptiness when it comes to God, why this is as it is I don't know.

Thanks everyone. UNDECIDED :You summed it up for me. While I would like to know God personally and I desire this very much I don't see it happening at all.

Kingdom Hall over 200 miles away
by JH inhere in canada, there are people working in areas up north where kingdom halls are hundreds of miles away.
how can a witness attend a meeting, if there are no kingdom halls around him?
that just proves how stupid it is to think that just jw will be saved.
-
Blueblades
# 1...None of us will be alive for God to kill us at armageddon.
# 2...Attending the kingdom hall is not a prescription for surviving armageddon.
# 3...D.O. and C.O. Are supposed to be on top of the geographical locations for a kingdom hall where the need is.
# 4...Society will never provide transportation to the nearest KINGDOM HALL anyway.
# 5...I'll only travel 199 miles then I turn around and go back.
