  i cannot believe i let 7 men in new york tell me god didn't consider me righteous.

  how do people that believe in god put up with this crap!!

  no wonder in all my years i had a hard time praying.

  with all the leaked information, it has to be a one way direction to the exit for the watchtower leadership and gb.. they can not stay.. it can take time, but this is the only scenario.. g..

  this week i visited my sick father in law.. then an old elder from my far away congregation came in for coffee.

  did not see him in 15 years.. nice chat.

  had a lot to say, is alone, his sick wife disabled and away from home.. he told me: "living alone is so hard.

  My parents died 15 years ago, both in their early 70’s, so fairly early in their golden years and before the intro to iPads and even the new songs.

  They were both confident they would walk through Armageddon. I wonder how they would have felt if they would have survived up until now to see their religion become what it is today.

  Manmade rules

  i was talking to someone a few years ago and he said in his congregation they have a rail of white shirts prepared in the cloakroom for if a speaker doesn't have a white shirt on.

  it was a rule in their hall that all brothers in the platform must wear white shirts when going talks and if the speaker won't comply when asked to change into the shirt they provide an elder in the congregation will do the talk instead.

  i have never known any other halls do it so it must be a rule the elders have made up without gb input.

  My favorite rule came direct from the Borg, don't hold your significant others hand during the prayer cause it can be distracting.

  A more ridiculous one though, a sister i know was counseled for wearing a thong because her lack of panty line was distracting.

  a couple of times at the meetings this year we've been told that in the future we might get some strange directions from the society that might not make any sense to us.

  then they've said will we show our loyalty to jehovah by still obeying?

  seems a rather unusual thing to say.

  Even if or when they show a decrease they will spin it in their favor: “the love of the greater number now means less will be accepting the truth” “no growth means the time of the end is in the final milliseconds of the last seconds”. And people like my family will continue to eat it up

  i think the wt will never give up this practice unless forced to by the courts, even if they are financially failing terribly they will keep it because the moment they do get rid of it the whole thing will collapse even faster and they know it(or afraid of it happening).

  they have painted themselves into a corner of financial ruin.

  It’s too late after the 2016 convention that has the R&F shunning inactive ones who are not officially df’ed or da’ed. They’ve doubled down on the control in a “secret way” by not having it in print making those that follow the direction from the slave feel even more worthy.
