Now if I actually had the skill to go along with the great theory I know :) I know SO much more than what I can actually play well.

Assuming it is drop D tunning which I am almost postive, those would be some very disonate chords if it wasn't. Essentially they are all power chords(like most rock music). You have the root, then a 5th above and then an octave above.

do other religions change doctrines like the wt society does?
by sowhatnow ini just wondered.
i mean ok, the catholic church seems to make 'adjustments' more or less , by accepting previously held prejudices.
against certain things, like gays, or birth control, or rather tolerate it more, but is that a genuine change of doctrine?.

Don't want to hijack the thread but I feel I should answer a few of these questions....
Papal infallability:
Matt 16:18-19 (NAB)I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it. 19 “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven.”
You will also note when ever there is a dispute in acts... everybody gets a say, but when Peter speaks up it is considered decided. Also Papal infalitiblity was a major cause of the great east/west schism. So there was at least some understanding of this over a thousand years ago.
Infant Baptism.
Acts 16:15 Acts 16:33 1 Cor. 1:16 all speak of baptising entire housholds. No mention of not baptising children. We baptise babies becasue baptism takes the place of circumcision and babies where circumcised.
Baptism by sprinking
The word for baptism in biblical text is used for emersion AND sprinkling. The bible never tells us specificly how to baptise. We are just told to do it in Jesus name, or in the name of the Father Son and Holy Spirit. Also the new testiment speaks of baptising thousands at a time in the Jordan river, that river is just a creek it would have been very challenging to do all of them with immersion. Also it is unlikely that you would dunk infants as a form of baptism. Catholics believe in full imersion baptism as well, when our Church is done being renovated, we will have a baptismal font to allow for immersion baptism.
"Sign of the Cross"
That is just a prayer that many Catholics do. It is not a doctrinal thing. Don't all believers say prayers that arn't directly found in scripture?
Eucharist
As to when and how we recieve communion (The cup and/or the bread) that is a practice or tradtion of the Church. Again nothing doctrinal.
Marriage to non Catholics
I don't know enough about this one to comment sorry.
Immaculate Conception of Mary
Luke 1:28 (ASV)And he came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favored, the Lord is with thee.
Sometimes it is rendered as "Hail Mary, Full of Grace" both translations are not very good here. The word used is Kecharitomene, it is not used as an adjective instead it is a title given to Mary. The title means complete or perfected in grace. A much better reading of this text would be "Hail, full and complete in grace, the Lord is with you..." We just add Mary in there to make it read better in our language. How could Mary already be full of grace before Jesus was even born and probably before he was even conceived?

As a Catholic let me clarify insidetheKH comments. I don't think the Catholic Church has ever changed doctrin. We believe once doctrine is set it is set forever. Practices or customs of the Church do change to suit local cultures and customs and the changing times. Those three Doctrines that insidetheKH mentioned where always belived but where not clearly defined. Some doctrinal conflict arose that pushed the Church into defining those doctrines in a dogmatic fashion. In all three cases there is ample evidence that Catholics believed those things before they where dogmaticly defined.

Simon would you consider an open handed smack to the back of a young childs hand, or an open handed spank to the clothed backside abuse?
Also the disipline you suggests works well once the child is fully verbal, not so well before hand though.

There are times when any reasonable person would think spanking is okay. Particularly if the consequences of what the child is doing could be signficanly worse than the spanking. Like for an example if your child runs into the street without looking for traffic, or if your child is about to touch a hot stove. Being spanked is clearly better than getting hit by a car or being burned.
However many parents spank because they are angry at their child. They spank to make themselfs feel better. You should NEVER spank out of anger. If you do that is abuse.
Also IMO physiological abuse is far worse than physical. Children get hurt all time through play or what ever, but they recover very quickly. However when they are physically abused, it is the physiological componet that makes it so bad. Also we need to have just as much outrage when children are verbally abused. Those scars last a life time.

Of course sometimes children need to be disiplined, there are even circumstances when spanking is understandable....
However if you read anything about the Peterson case it was CLEARLY abuse. The details of the case are quite gruesome. Please if you feel any sympothy towards Peterson read the details of the case.

"Ebola is not spread through the air" -- CDC. Yeah, right!
by FatFreek 2005 insomehow, i don't have a warm fuzzy feeling when i keep hearing from the center of disease control, "ebola is not spread through the air ...".
ever sneezed?
the famous myth busters had a revealing show on the power of the sneeze anecdotally it has a velocity of some 35 miles per hour and travels a distance of some 30 feet.. ever traveled in the close confines of an air liner?

Rebel I just re-read your post on the first page. What I am talking about fits your defintion of "droplet". However the problem with this is that they say you need "direct contact" to get sick. However many people wouldn't realize that being sneezed on or coughed is considered direct contact.
Also by the classic definition measles and TB are about the only true airborn illnesses.

"I will be willing to be all the people who flew with this latest victim will come away perfectly fine :)"
I wouldnt feel much fear in that airplane example... but would you walk through and ebola ward with no protection if I could promise you that you wouldn't accidentally touch something?
