Some don't seem to under stand... it isn't that differn't from the flu. What makes the flu special is you are contagous before you are sick and there are asymtomatic cases that are spreaders. If either of these happen you have no hope of contaning it.

In west africa the air is warm and moist. Resperiated droplets don't dry out and fall out of the air. In the cool dry air in the hospital... they dry and stay in the air. There is a reason almost all viruses thrive in winter. Coool Dry Air.
The fortunate thing is that Ebola dosn't particularly favor inffection of the air way If it did way more virus would become airborn. On the other hand I don't think the virus cares how it gets in. Also since nobody in his family appears to be sick... it really does appear you arn't to contageous till late in the illness. Some confort for the comunity but hell for the health care workers.

Evidence of life after death?
by little_Socrates inhttp://www.independent.co.uk/news/science/life-after-death-largestever-study-provides-evidence-that-out-of-body-and-neardeath-experiences-may-actually-be-real-9780195.html.
"experts currently believe that the brain shuts down within 20 to 30 seconds of the heart stopping beating and that it is not possible to be aware of anything at all once that has happened.. but scientists in the new study heard said they heard compelling evidence that patients experienced real events for up to three minutes after this had happened and could recall them accurately once they had been resuscitated.".
how are people having "experinces" while there is no evidence of heart or brain activity?.

The Sense of Being Stared At:
http://www.sheldrake.org/files/pdfs/papers/JCSpaper1.pdf
Supposedly we can feel if sombody is staring at us. This EVEN works if they are in different rooms looking at us through closed circut tv. Nobody can perfectly sense this but... most of research has found it happens signficantly more often than chance should allow for.

Apognophos... the point is there is memories from times when there is no evidence of heart or brain activity. By our current undrestanding of consciousness that shouldn't be possible.

My take... at the very least it shows we don't really understand consciousness. We may even have some fundamental misunderstandings about it. If we can find evidence showing that at least a part of our consciousness is non physical, it would at least prove that life after death would be possible. It still wouldn't prove the existance of it... just suggest that it is possible.

Are first world countries to blame for the bulk of third world squalor?
by tootired2care inthroughout several past threads various posters have emphatically made the point that countries like great britian, united states, france etc.
basically countries where white people exist, are to blame for the poverty in many other third world nations.
some have even went so far as to suggest that the first world is to blame for all third world conditions.. i often see excuses such as these for why a country refuses to provide clean water, some food and basic sanitation for its people:.

Why has the USA been so sucessfull in overcomming its own colonialism? Is it simply that we have been "free" longer?
India has only recently recieved her independence. Why is she doing so well?

"Jehovah's Witnesses do better after surgery without transfusion" - Article (July 3, 2012)
by Da.Furious inthis article from 2012 published by the birmingham news showed up on my facebook page.. what i would have liked to see in the statistics is the inclusion of total jws refusing blood transfusion and their survival rate not only the ones taht surviced, taking about only survivors is not like for like comparison in my opinion with patients who take blood transfusion and then dont survive.. .

Of course taking sombodies elses bodily fluids and pumping them into your body isn't really "good" for you. Often your body treats the blood as a foreign pathogen. Blood transfusions can take weeks or months to recover from. Also if the surgeon knows you will refuse blood he/she will be much more carefull with your surgery.
On the other hand... if you need a transfusion you need a transfusion.

Do these buildings just sit vacant when there are no assemblies going on? Why can't local conegrations use the buildings in the "off season"?
Do you really call 500-700 people an assembly? I know lots of Churches that would be disapointed if that is all that showed up for a regular Sunday service.
