  What is your relationship with ALCOHOL?

  here in the uk new drinking guidelines have been issued which suggest "no more than 14 units a week - equivalent to six pints of beer or seven glasses of wine.".

  another piece of the advice which is getting a lot of attention is that "if people drink, it should be moderately over three or more days and that some days should be alcohol-free.".

  already people are making cries of "nanny state!

  Very mild drinker! I really like the stuff, but it messes with my eyes very quickly!!!!!!

  CO Pet Peeves, and cowering eldubs & others!

  i have seen many over the years.

  a new co comes to town, and during, after or just before his next visit, often little pointless things change, sometimes big ones!

  and most of the time, there is no to very little of anything in the wt or bible to justify it.. the one that popped to mind while reading another post is this one!.

  My brother in law eldub, has all of his DVD, cable box, Roku, all set up in a small locked room. Along with his movie collection. He had problems in the past with CO & other eldubs snooping around, and trying to cause trouble. He has movies I never wanted to watch, even now!!!!

  One DO serving in the south years ago, was doing the Host cong visit thing. The PO takes him out to the sisters place where he's to stay. (Very poor area) I would named names. but I won't, I will say this single German brother, wore lot's of gold, and extremely watches, and suite's. I spent three days working with him once) Anyway, he walks in looks around at this poor sisters little house, and turns for the door, saying, "THIS WILL NOT DO!!!) And leaves this poor little old sister crying her eyes out!!!! The PO get's out side as the DO spins out of the driveway. He drove to the nearest big city and rents the most costly room in town, and turns the bill over to the CO at the end of the week!!!!

  The one that popped to mind while reading another post is this one!

  Back when everyone still had magazine slots, the new co, had issues with them, because, some peons didn't pick up their stuff on time, and he felt it looked bad. That changed before the second meeting. After his last visit, the individual slots were all back, before the next meeting!

  There are untold numbers of these things, and they rang from just funny, to totally assanin!

  Oh I so feel for you!!!! And totally understand! I am married to someone I really do love, but she is so totally in, and her real life long best friend, is her eldub brother, and the only way she will ever listen is if he stopped, and told her it was all a lie!!!!!!! The friction this is causing gets harder all the time!!!!!

  They have been trying since the early 80's to convince the sheeple, that all

  El-jerks are the same, and equal, with no Head Bull el-jerk! Twenty five some years, and it hasn't worked yet! I used to kind of play a game, each time I moved, and tried to pick out the head el-jerk, without asking. I was wrong only once out of say 12 congragation!

  There will always be a power structure in the borg! They may not have the total power the head el-jerk once had, but they grab all they can!

  No Soliciting signage and JW Policy

  does anyone have a copy of the boe letter directing publishers to not go into apartment complexes and/or condominium complexes with no soliciting signs?

  i ask because yesterday and buttheaded jw (that obviously had no idea who i am or my past) was knocking on doors in our condo complex.

  he would have had to drive past a sign which clearly states "no solicitation or material distribution.".

  An old sister I knew for years, and was very old school jw. Shw would knock normally once or twice, then knock like a kicking mule, if that didn't work, she would go around the house, and bang on every door. I was with her one morning, as we left the front door, she started around the house, I went back to the car. As she banged on the back door, a man yanked the door open, cussed at her, and fired a shotgun into the air, and said, next time it's your gd head!

  If they did buy it, their only reason would be to deny it to anyone else that would want it. In that case, I would not care how I go it, or who I passed it on to!

  I knew when I first opened this post, she was asking a, What if Question, from her statement!

  UTR I like that. "Flocking the Sheep"

  When I first opened my eyes and really started seeing what was in front of them all along, I found a pdf of CoC, and downloaded it. It made a big impact on me. Well I don't know what price will be put on the CoC book, or epub, when it comes out. So I am mailing a check for $25 to Deborah. When the new copies of Ray's books come out I will buy a copy of each!!

  Over the years, back in the mid to late 70's, I met both Ray and Fred. In my short visit with them, Fred came across, as a very self righteous, self important wind bag! Ray, seamed like a normal guy, easy to chat with. I was just a lowly MS, doing stage security for what was a special meeting.

  I remember when CoC, came out, and we were all warned about this super apostate, and his EVIL book CoC. I was over at an eldubs house one night in his office. I saw a copy of CoC on his book shelf. I ask about it. He said that he got it so, he could know the lies written in it, and be ready to refute them. He has a son that is still a friend of mine. His son was in bethell for 6 years, and was there during the witch hunt, that saw Ray leave bethell, and the aftermath. He saw a number of strong hard working brothers, shaken to the point they either left or were ask to leave, for asking to many question. This guy after leaving bethell, came back an MS, but quickly was removed, and soon drifted out of the borg. I just caught up with him in the past few months. He say, his over all time at bethell, killed what faith he had in the borg. I ask him if he knew Ray, he said yes but only in passing. I then ask if he knew that his dad had a copy of CoC, he didn't know, but that his dad had ask a number of question, he had to get from having read that book. But after confirming a few of the stories about life at bethell, his dad stopped asking questions.

  Anyway, it will be great to have a real printed copy of Ray's book's. I hope someone will write an update to the book, so as to reflect some of the money grabbing etc, of the borg!!!!
