What are your motives for joining in this thread anyway?

As always, not anything I feel any particular compulsion to divulge.

So, since you are making public claims of evidence, how are you demonstrating a connection between a unknown creature made of unknown material and the water cycle? What cause and effect are you demonstrating, what causation that's evidence for something you cannot describe rather than either evidence of something different or not evidence at all for the thing you cannot describe.

I am particularly curious given your professed career as a chemist and earlier denial that physics is related to chemisty.

I am currently reading Lawrence Krauss' "A Universe From Nothing". It's fascinating how he dismantles the very last refuge of the god-of-the-gaps.

That is quite a good book.

Read your text that I quoted. If you don't understand what you wrote about evidence, I cannot help you. The question was around how you are determining what is evidence, you suggested it was personal. I pointed out that you are calling things evidence on a public forum, therefore is it reaonable to expect comments and questions.

So, since you are publicly calling things evidence, I am interested in the connective support between an impersonal creature made of unknown spirit stuff an the water cycle. How are you getting from A to Z? How are you determining cause and effect, what is evidence, what isn't? Why is it evidence of the specific thing you believe in and not something else?

However the water cycle is interesting and is more evidence that god is the Creator. When I look at the hydrogen bonding in water, clouds and rain, the desalination process I see how God makes water.

I am having a conversation with cofty about Soai's paper, I feel your clouding the point, cofty can see why I conclude the way I do so drawing a conclusion is not the point. Your statement does not answer my question to cofty. If you want to join in then say something relevant about Soai's work. Or tell us why you came to your conclusions.

You are not being quote mined. If you think you are, look up what quote mining is and you will understand the difference between quote mining and choosing salient portions to quote.

The question remains. How does your premise connect to your conclusion?

i think she is a hypocrite and i bet she sells her invites to fornicators, or does she ask them if they are having sex before marrige, before she takes their money?.

i was never like this when i was a jw, it's even more disturbing that she is going to ask her elders what to do.

I do though get my hackles up with the homosexual agenda which is in every magazine, every TV show, ad nauseum promoting the homosexual lifestyle, and using terms like "homophobic" against every last mothers son who doesn't buy into the homosexual lifestyle.

I didn't know one could buy in. Is there a stock offering? Private equity ownership?

Light refraction is very interesting but it's physics not chemistry, and I know less about that.

As has ben shown, chemistry IS physics. As a chemist, it is suprising you didn't know that and initially denied it.

It's quite possible, but you are publicly making the claim. Hence, it is entirely reasonable to question and comment upon it.

A catalyst that is automated like this is evidence for me that probably a Creator is involved, that's why I draw a different conclusion to you, but I still cannot prove fully that there is a God.

Why probably and why evidence? Connect the dots from premise to conclusion...

What is spirit, exactly?

i've always wondered that.

recently i asked that question on another thread and didn't really get ananswer.

cofty made an excellent point that we often hear what it isn't, but that really isn't useful.. so, what is it?

What, specifically, is that connection? How are they related? You've not told us what spirit is comprised of yet, so saying there is a connection to something undefined is a tenuous position to adopt. Can you tell us spirit is comprised of?
