However the past 1 or 2 generations have had every opportunity to get education, college, and advance.
You do realize that is completely untrue, right?
this pisses me off, after all the news agencies that point out that things such as the ferguson shooting were a white man killing a black "kid" (18 years old and if an 18 yr old is accused of commiting a sex crime then suddenly they are a "grown man").
now look at this story from ny times, "a 32-year-old marine was beaten by a group of men outside of a mississippi restaurant after he was warned it wasn't safe for white people in the wake of the michael brown killing in missouri," .
so black on white crime, i guess they can't say "a group of black men", it just has to be a group of men?

I don't really see a viable alternative.
Police knowing the law they serve and not being assholes would be a viable alternative. Crazy, right?
and he said to them, "i tell you the truth, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the kingdom of god come with power.
(mark 9:1).
when you are persecuted in one place, flee to another.
Beside, he did return to them right after he was resurrected and show himself to them and walk through walls and show his wounds.
All of the accounts say something different. Not a reliable narrative and if one is true, then at least two of the Gospels are wrong. Parts of the Bible claim he was raised purely as a spirit and other claims he was raised in a physical body. Which is it?
He also said he would send the holy spirit as a helper and his father and he would come to dwell with people and be with them and reside with them and they would all be one and things would go on through wars and various tribulations and not to think when there were false Christs that it was him returned, he indicated it would be generations away, he said it was a distant time and no one knew when not even him, so where did he lie ?
That's a theological argument and not something has historical meaning that can be objectively tested for truth.
Some things he said referred to the destruction of the Temple in AD 70 and it has not been rebuilt to this day, in fact the Dome of the Rock, a Muslim mosque, sits on the Temple mound.
The temple had been destroyed before. Jerusalem was occupied and in a state of conflict. Jesus himself was preaching destruction (along with many many other apocalyptic Jews). It was a general statement that didn't have any specific information like a specific date, who would be doing the destruction, etc. What kind of special prophetic knowledge did that require?

Your asking if Jesus was a false prophet. If so then i suppose you know of at least one of his prophecies that has failed. That is why i want to know which of his prophecies you think have failed.
No, that's not what I asked. I said that no specific thing that required special knowledge he said came true. That was in response to someone that claimed Jesus made prophecies that came true. That was shown conclusively to be false. Read the thread and you'll see specifically which ones have failed.
if you want to read the definitive explanation on fossils and how life arrived its covered in darwins doubt, by s.c. meyer.
this is a game changer.

Yikes. If that was food for thought, it was like a deep fried Big Mac wrapped in funnel cake and bacon and drizzled with jam and cheese whiz.

If i may ask, which of Jesus's prohecies do you think should have come to pass by now and why do you feel that way?.
You may ask, but why are you asking me? It makes no sense.
there seems to be an endless number of ways to show the bible is not devinely inspired but all of it seems so complicated.
anyone know any simple arguements for this?
.
Specifically what freedom is being taken away, Band? What rights are being violated? Be specific, use examples.

Essentially Hume is saying' If our current understanding of the Laws of Nature do not correspond with a proposed Miracle, it is impossible that a Miracle took place.
That is NOT what he said. He specifically said to judge how likely and probable it was.
What is your explanation to show that this was not a Miracle?
Let's ask a better question. How WAS it a miracle? He didn't say when it would happen. He didn't say who would do it, under what circumstances or anything very specific. He preached an apocalyptic message that said judgement and destruction was coming, they were invaded by Rome and resistance groups were everywhere AND the temple had been destroyed before.
Specifically, where was the miracle?
Campbell argued that the most important factor in determining the authenticity of testimony of a Miracle is the number of witnesses. Numerous witnesses and no evidence of collusion will supersede all other factors, Large Scale testimony is capable of providing absolute certainty even with the most miraculous event.
Such as?
1- pray to god (whomever you may imagine him to be) asking for understanding.
2- study the background about the bible (from non-religious sources) to see where it came from.
3- discard (or at least set aside) chuyrch claims and dogma.. 4- read it, looking up archaeological/historical sources about the places and peoples referred to.
To be fair, it kinda is his thread. Who says his intention was to to debate this with any of us?
Because he asked to in his own thread. Reading is such a wonderful skill.

The EVIDENCE is in how well our body (and all living things) is formed, and all its many parts that function TOGETHER. Combined with ecosyatems that have what the body needs to live, the design is obvious, unless blinded by emotion.
OK. How specifically is that evidence of creation and not evolution? Connect the dots from creation to us and account for all the evidence for evolution and explain how that is really evidence for creation, including observed evolution, the extremely odd and poor functioning design of some of someforms of life, all the ways the universe can kill us and extinct homonids, to name a few. Also, You'll need to describe how this creation happened, your evidence for that, how long ago, etc.
