  The Pastor of my Old Church Tried to Re-Convert Me Yesterday

  yesterday evening my wife and i were invited to friends house for new year's eve.

  we met them when i was a christian and we have kept in touch.

  they had a few other friends there as well, including the new church pastor and his wife.

  That means that this being is older than the universe, thatmeans that this being of immense power does NOT see or undersand things like humans do right not, that He is far above in terms of development from humans as humans are from ants ( as an example).

  This being then KNOWS that death doesn't actually exist, it is simply a change from state A to state B before state C ( and D, and E, etc).

  Full stop, do not pass go.

  Explain, specifically, why God being older than the universe and the first cause would mean any of this?

  So, you are left with exercising good judgement, whether a report is true, half-true or false. And you have to allow for the benefit of the doubt. Take for example Josephus' testimony on Daniel. Do you accept it as fact or fiction:

  Nope, not an option for you. A key component of science is "observation". That's no longer an option for you. Their reports and observations can't be allowed in. Everything you are describing is using science. You just said that is NOT valid, you need to find another way.

  Josephus (ca. 100 CE) would view Daniel as “one of the greatest prophets,” because not only did he prophesy future things, but he also fixed the time during which these would come to pass.

  Yes, but science (which you can't use in any way) clearly shows Daniel was written over the years in parts and pieces by different people.

  Why do JWs think ISIS is sadisitc but the Israelites under Jah's command loving?

  i have heard so many jws complain about isis and how cruel and sadistic and pitiless they are.

  all my mind can think about is how their techniques are so similiar to the ancient israelites under joshua that the jws feel are heroes and champions of true worship.. role models for kids.

  isis believes that non-believers who do not subscribe to their world view should be killed in brutal ways.

  Actually, you may be incorrect on every single one of these assertions. His wife may have been Mary Magdalen, at least according to one ancient document (photo below) in which Jesus refers to Mary as his "spouse."

  what specifically made you stop believing in god and the bible?

  was it a steady road of doubts or it was reading one book or one major event that made you realize the bible was not what it's claimed to be?.

  Sure, I mean a quick google finds a few, but here is a one in regard sto Bart's book, "How Jesus became God".

  She said "better perspective", not apologist perspective.
