Whatever happens in the future is no more than conjecture as it is unpredictable.

Are you a theist? I'm not reading your understanding of the god thing.

I am interested as part of my interest into why those who have a need to believe in supernaturalism

come to their reasoning especially if self calculated as opposed to being born into a belief or

inculcated from an early age.

Any way if you dont feel like explaining anything thats cool.

Hi FHN, no i dont blame god for for mankinds situations good or bad, that is squarely mans doing.

I do not have a belief in god.

I was intrigued by the notion of god just happening it seems an odd expression,more reminiscent

of human understanding of gods ways ie thinking on behalf of or presuming he does things now and again.

I agree we dont understand everything,but i personally am not trying to understand god i have no need.

Whereas if you do believe in a deity who has the ability to intervene to prevent tragedy befalling his

creations (which he loves so much) wouldnt you love and worship him more,after all is that not

what he has supposedly required from his creations?

You say your not a xian but surely the same must apply,or dont you see god as a loving creator?

Flying, " god happens" what does that mean? If he/she/it just occurs sometimes do you not question the judgement of a god who ignores the real and serious consequences of human tragedies. Not just popping into an ex posters brain for a little talking to.

The one certainty is life in all its forms exists, if you conclude it came about by the hand of a supernatural force

You only have faith at your disposal. Faith:..strong belief WITHOUT PROOF!!

Best let science have a shot at it their doing an exemplary job and discovering new things all the time if you'd take the time to look.

Can god see into the future?

this is something that's been bothering me for a while.. if god could see into the future, why has he allowed so many bad things to happen?

for example in the garden of eden.

he should have known from the beginning what would happen.if there was even the tiniest chance that they'd eat the fruit then god obviously didn't think it would be benefical to, idk, prevent it from happening?

Hi kate, I was wondering as you believe there is a creator, do you see it as one entity, or multiple causes for our existence?

What form would it take to have such immense power?

Is it an energy which would require replenishment , or can it produce its own?

Do you believe it still exists?

Perhaps it has exhausted itself as we haven't had much evidence of it lately.

Do you think it might be busy in another part of the cosmos?

I think belief in such a force requires these considerations.

Then perhaps I'm presuming you have not considered this already.

Prologos, Sacre bleu ! My assumptions of primitive mans thinking is of course based on the fact that today we have millions of people believing in this supernatural powerhouse known as god.

This idea obviously had to have germinated by thought process. It is my and many others belief that the concept came about because of primitive mans ignorance re situations which they had no control over but had positive/negative influence on their lives.

Making tools and progression has nothing to do with the conjuring up of a notion of a god/gods.

Or do you think it all started with the author of genesis?

What is he/she therefore worshipping?

If you say it's god, you must be concluding that because the athiest has

these qualities there must be a god.?... how bizarre!!
