  if you had any doubts about the pitifully poor mental prowess of watchtower and jws in general then i'm sure this week's watchtower study (week of june 15-21, 2015) completely obliterated such doubts.

  the study article (watchtower april 15, 2015, page 19: how real is your relationship with jehovah?

  ) was filled with blatantly fallacious reasoning that were outdone only by the more fallacious reasoning on the part of commenting jws.. the article, in paragraph 2, says this about a relationship with jehovah:.

  The belief that these biblical accounts , so called visions, prophecies are to be taken literally smacks of madness or at least gross delusion. Dead people rising,people going up in clouds, riding horses out of clouds(how did the horses get in the clouds) a city coming out of heaven(whatever that is ! )please remember folks all this comes from the minds of ancient people are we not much the wiser? To take this non..sense literally is to insult your intelligence!! I truly wonder if the narrator really believes it himself, oh well I suppose there's a book to sell!

  the (almost) pacificism of the jws was one of the things that attracted me to the witnesses when young.

  I prefer to say...creative process as in bringing into being. Going before the formation of the earth and the germination of life and subsequent evolutionary journey to the present, rather than creator which implies some definitive entity. Fusion theism I dont believe it's stupidity or idiocy to think in those terms as I have outlined, but to hang your hat on an absolute is foolish, example being yahweh and the continuum and consequence of such belief.

  Are atheists more likely to be morally good than Christians?

  i have no problem saying atheists and christians are equal.. but some people seem to have the belief that atheists are more likely to be morally good, or more likely to change the world for good, than christians and theists.. but what evidence do you have to support this claim?.

  if atheism is what causes people to do great positive things for the world, then why weren't martin luther king, jr., william wilberforce, isaac newton, francis collins, barack obama, mother theresa, abraham lincoln, or john f. kennedy atheists?.

  It is the belief in supernatural deities which christians accept for the justification of adherence to morals. The athiest does not require such justification and therefore imo (if living to a good moral standard ) does so without coercion or fear of gods judgement and wins on the moral justification score. That being said both groups can of course be equally moral in practical life.
