The so called 'christian god ' as generated by the minds of ancient tribal people is a conceptual construct of both good and bad reflecting the behaviour of humans . The 'god' figure as described in ancient writings such as the genesis account was both the 'good' and 'bad' . The test of obedience (eating of fruit ) given to gods first creations would be futile if god himself ( the originator of the test) had not allowed for the testing to proceed, therefore my conclusion is it had to be god himself who played the tempter. The first creations are said to have not known evil although god is recorded as knowing both good and evil therefore any creature originating from god , so called spirit form or human who became evil could only have learned or used bad or evil because it existed as part of god if it is to be believed 'he'is the origin of everything. My conclusion is that ancient mans concept of god is merely a reflection of the human traits of good and bad played out on a grand mythical scale to offer an explanation of why we and all around us exist. Thankfully for me we live in enlightened times and personally do not require to base my life and existence on the myths of ancient ignorant people.

by berrygerry ini do not clearly understand mainstream christian ideology, but i think that wt is a variation thereof.. wt teaches that god made adam and eve perfect, but that another one of god's perfect creatures, tricked eve into disobedience, thereby condemning adam, eve, and all of their offspring into a life of misery as a result.
this is because satan out-thought god, and essentially cornered god into this "legal challenge" that god had never foreseen.. that, to me, is one stupid god..

yet proofs are abundant for the decline (opposite of evolution) we experience globally!.

The evolutionary process has resulted in producing species which eventually became incompatible with the evolutionary environment . Evolution is not a process which results in producing good or better or bad or worse as a pre designed objective it is entirely driven by adapting to environmental circumstances for all life forms . Modern man has the ability to influence our environment positively or negatively, the evolutionary process continues regardless of the natural or unnatural environment and eventually all life on earth will adapt by evolution no matter how we in human terms define if it is in our terms parallel or opposing as such a definition would require us to believe that evolution has a definable pre conceived purpose. It is merely a process which is evidentially factual and which we undeniably live with no matter what spin we put on it. -

Has the Great Witness Trolley/Cart campaign produced ANY results?

the 3 congregations at the hall i attend have trolley schedule noticeboards.
i see trolleys in the high streets and markets locally.

The result I had on approaching two 'brothers' at the trolley/cart was a handshake from one who knew my family but the other proceded to offer me what he called an ' Ebola ' handshake as he grasped my forearm with his hand!! I told him " I do wash my hands you know ". Further to this we had a pleasant chat until... Bang I hit them with some bullet points 're TTATT their mood immediately changed from smiles to defense with no room for discussion if you are critical of their new York hierarchy. -

Nice Old Dears Tried to "Witness" to me Today
by cofty inan older man and wife - ray and mary - got chatting to me today.
they were tourists admiring local wildlife.
i gave them a few tips on where to go to see some interesting things and it wasn't long before they were telling me about how awful the world is "nowadays" and paradise yadda yadda.

God (each has his or her own take on the definition ) indeed does exist in the capability of the human brain to formulate the concept. This is by way of many reasons eg indoctrination from a young age, being part of a cohesive group, fear of punishment or death, comfort by means of reward for capitulating to the demands of your god as outlined by other human beings to whom you cede responsibility for your life because they have told you they are qualified to do so.
In ancient times without the knowledge at our fingertips , and reasoning which we have by way of scientific evidence it is understandable that people would believe in 'gods ' as an explanation of the as yet unexplainable especially as demanded by the powerful who could use the concept of god to their advantage, however in our enlightened contemporary time imo to believe in the existence of God outwith that which exists in the electrical neurological mechanics of the human brain is an insult to ones intelligence and intellectual ability.

First President Of The Watchtower Society
by William Penwell ini was reading on wikipedia about the watchtower society and it lists a william henry conley as the first president of the wt society (1881-1884).
i was wonder if this is correct and why the modern jw's have eliminated him from the societies history?
the only thing is the society was not incorporated till 1884 with russel as president.
