Very nice Levi ! On the bright side, It great to see you come as far as you have by 18 yo. I got out at 18, but now I'm 42 and never talked/wrote/investigated anything all those years. I was a walking time-bomb... This place fell in my lap recently, and I finally realized what was bottled up.

i need some watchtower articles stating ,the only people who will make it into the new system are jws.my husband keeps saying that jws dont even know who will make it.i know he is lieing and i tell him that he must love himself alot to want to forget his family to live in the new system without us.he also asked me what is the difference if he went to church?he says they are trying to get to heaven.anyone who can help answer these i can use all the help i can .i told him even if i believed the jws.barf,i would not want to be one .i would rather die with my family.

So, does this mean, the higher order species can't really go extinct, since the lower order species will evolve to higher order ? Oh, never mind...

I'm at a loss for words, which is rare for me... I love to write. I write about anything and everything, everyone and every feeling... I lost a lot of my writings when I was 20... burned them... I think I was trying to burn a lot of pain and hurt away... it didn't work, but I didn't know that then... When I ran into this board not too long ago, a good friend of yours, jgnat, pointed me to a few special people that may be able to help me... You were one of them, and jgnat was right... I haven't added a lot yet to your posts, but like BT found out later, someones reading them... ALL OF THEM ! You offer a very unique gift for those that wish to receive it...
I finally realize what burning my writings really did... It set me back 20 years...

a few of us use our real names as our handles, but most of us use something else, such as a nickname or a variation of our real name.
iiz2cool - it was not my nickname (i really don't think i'm all that cool), but that of an old friend named mike prezelj.
i won't go into how he got the name, but it happened when we were all very high, and you had to be there to understand.
The first computer program to successfully play chess was named Sargon... so I use that once in a while, but it was taken on this board (Hi Sargon )...
Computer programming became my method of coping with life 20+ years ago. My 1st 10 years of studying and writing programs was on my own, working on a program to play chess (since I couldn't go to college and had no skills to survive).
Thus, Gambit was born. A gambit is a sacrifice of a "known" position or of material for a strategic advantage. It turns out that my walking away from the borg was also a gambit, in real life... but I wouldn't play it any other way !
My work on gambit set me on a course to eventually land a programming job with a fortune 50 company (with no college or previous programming experince, but one hell of a geek and an impossible dream for a porfolio). They paid for night college and I received a BS in CS at the age of 40. Interestingly, I quite programming the following year... The way I see it, now I have a head start on my next 20 year gambit.

i was going to post my personal story, but right now it feels good just to know that i'm truly not alone.... what an incredible bulletin board... using the search feature i just finished a week of reading up on alcholism, codependency, abuse, personal testimonies (and very empathetic replies), bpd, dysfunctional family systems, oh, jw's and their male-dominate, bride-selling, hypocritical policies brain-washing techniques.. 2 1/2 years ago, at the age of 39... a lady friend at work suggested i read up on codependency... i had no idea what she was talking about, and remember thinking "i don't have problems, look at you... your a mess".
anyway, i knew i didn't feel ok and decided to read a book.
i had just finished college and had some free time to fill.... denial is absolutely wonderful... kept me safe for quite a few years.
