  what would actually happen to the x-million jws out there?

  (this is a rather far fetched scenario, but bear with me!

  imagine if one day the borg were to release a letter to each cong in the world to be read simultaneously.

  I have thought about this exact thing...If it was announced the the whole thing was a hoax. I don't think anyone would know what to do with themselves.They would go crazy, or kill themselves. I bet there would be a group of firm believers that would continue gathering and praying out of fear, they would think it was an attack from Satan. I would love it if it happened, minus the damage it would do to some genuine people who may be found amongst them. The people who thought they had found thier answer in life, ruined! Especially the ones who have been in it for 10, 20, 30 or more years. Imagine the counselling they'd need. Very interesting thought!

  <p>i am a much happier person now that i've excepted the fact that&nbsp;i will die one day.

  </p> <p>for 23 years i've been brought up in the jehovahs witness religion, and recently i found myself on the outside looking in, not the inside desperately seeking the answer and trying to please god, feeling guilty when&nbsp;i missed meetings etc...but no more.

  it's taken a while to de-program myself in thier way of thinking.

I have two brothers that do not speak to my older sister (i'm the youngest), who has ;been disfelloshipped for about 13 years. They are all married, and in none of the wedding photo's is there a complete family portrait. Why?, because ;the elders warned my brothers against ;going to her wedding. ;They would lose there privledges. My parents attended. ;I am glad I never did get baptised, however that doesn't prevent the cold shoulders I will be ;facing soon from certain family members and friends.What ; a ridiculous way of life! ; A religion that doesn't allow you to do the things you love or be with the people you love, your family. It's no wonder why half of us don't need therapy after being a part of this brainwashing cult. That's the long and short of it.</P> <P> ;I am no longer a part of this organization, and I couldn't be happier with ;my decision. I feel free. ; Losing family members and friends is not necessarily something I look forward to with the ;decision I have made, however it's a risk I MUST take. No more living in fear. To me, ;a loving God would not be a God that messes with the family arrangement. Let them LIVE. </P> <P>I realize a lot of people on this site have similar stories.   I have moved successfully!

  my 4500 kilometer trek came to an end last night in victoria.. the move went well, as one would expect when one lives out of a suitcase and duffel bag in a 7x13' room.... hope to see the vast majority of you come visit at one time or another.... i have to save vancouver island, and time is running out.. tata.
