  Advice on Waiting for Jehovah

  hi guys, .

  in discussions with a current jw, they told me that have big concerns with regards to the 607 bce date, but they are waiting on jehovah for refining.

  any suggestions on questions to pose to them based on their feedback?.

  since coming out of the witnesses, i have gone through a transformation in thought and in mind.

  i started with the usual: i thought that jesus was god.

  then i investigated more about the bible and thought that the bible was not true, given the many contradictions, failed prophecies, etc.. then i investigated evolution and read lots and now i accept evolution and natural selection as things that are true.. now, i need to make my dad rethink everything.

  Witness behavior in my gym ....

  about two months ago two very attractive ladies in their mid 30's signed on at one of the gyms i belong to.

  for a while i noticed them watching me and naturally i assumed they were taking an interest in how i went about training my clients since many do before they decide to approach me and inquire about my services (i own a health and fitness consultancy).. sure enough one of them approached me a few weeks back and asked me for a business card, inquired about rates and various other aspects involved with signing on with me.

  i handed her a card and explained that my client schedule was full but she should consider signing on with one of my personal trainers who still had some open spots available.

  It would not be the first time I hear of a JW woman seeking attention else where. I use to hear stories from a sister about her own sister in law. Just like is being mentioned in the RC, sometimes sexual repression is released somewhere else. It is unfortunate that sometimes it ends up being in the form of an adult abusing a child.

  the thing i find strange is that lots of jws seem as though they dont even want to hear godfrey jackson speak on friday can a member of the gb say somthing that is asposate lol

  He definitely can. Many could be stumbled if he gives in to the demands of the commission, just as much as many could be stumbled if he doesn't.

  many of the others are pretty bad too but at least they show they are concerned for their own fate.

  I think the RC is doing a great job but they need not to forget that, every time they say that the victim has the right to go to the police, they actually are omitting the consequences.

  Just like you have the right to leave the religion anytime (but not take your family), you have the right to go to the police (but not the right to avoid being dfed for it)

  Been watching all the videos from the RC. I am at Day 5 and so far Mr De Rooy has been the worst. Many of the others are pretty bad too but at least they show they are concerned for their own fate. This guy's grim and the way he almost chuckles at every question is just horrible.

  i tried testing my family by mentioning that a member of the gb was summoned to appear in front of the royal commission and i found it really weird how they reacted.they dismissed it saying its just satan attacking the 'truth' and i could not believe how ignorant they are.they all think that the organization did nothing wrong or even that jw's abuse their children.
