Nephilim...Only desired females
by RULES & REGULATIONS inbible questions answered.
who were the nephilim?.
the bible account says that “the sons of the true god began to notice that the daughters of men were beautiful.” (genesis 6:2) those ‘sons of god’ were actually spirit creatures who rebelled against god when they “forsook their own proper dwelling place” in heaven, materialized human bodies, and “began taking as wives all whom they chose.”—jude 6; genesis 6:2.. the hybrids born from this unnatural union were no ordinary children.

I cant read their mind, but maybe it takes account of the fact that some with disfigurements may come back without them. So they will be a new improved version of what they where. So not exactly the same but similar enough for you to know that they were still them.
The whole concept has very little detail. Do they come back old and disabled or do they come back looking like they di when they were 30? Do they come back with Cancer and then it disappears slowly. Do they come back with only one leg and the other one returns in time. Are disabilities and diseases on a sliding sale where some they come back with and some they don't?
That is supposing the whole thing wasn't a load of rubbish to start with. And even if it was true they would not be coming back anyway it would just be a copy of them.
The point is even though they have made the theory up they don't really know what it means and just make wild guesses while telling the rank and file not to speculate.

compared to the median age in the country of 47
The median age of the US is not 47 it is 38.5. So Median age of JWs is significantly higher than average.

I don’t watch all of Evans’ videos, but I haven’t seen any where he’s even mentioned JW forums let alone ‘bash’ them. It’s certainly possible that he has done so, but it definitely isn’t ‘at every opportunity’. I’m guessing you’re referring to something he said in a ‘livestream’.
projecthydra you have taken the words out of my mouth. I dont recall him doing that at all. Isn't it ironic that there are threads devoted to bashing Lloyd Evans in which he is accused of bashing this forum and others.
Personally I find his material valuable in my journey to shake the JW indoctrination off (as I did with this forum for many years in the past although I think this forum has morphed into something else now that is maybe not so ex JW focussed).

Actually, in some ways it is harder than ever to leave.
Now it doesn't matter where you live or if you answer the phone or not. If you use social media they will stalk you and analyse every comment and post you make to see if it fits the required personality.

"Great Reset" and the Borg
by mikeflood inwow, just watched a video from the 'world economic forum' , a respectable organization by the way, not the usual conspiracy lunatic theorist.
it says that by 2030 meat is gonna be a treat not widely available like today, that the us is not gonna be a global superpower anymore, instead a handful of countries will dominate and that people is not gonna own nothing but will be happy.. well, that would help the borg to keep the craziness going on.. thoughts?
what's this great reset?.

A consumer based society is not sustainable and only adds to problems. Try the 90 day challenge. If you don't use something for 90 consecutive days get rid of it.
This 90 day challenge seems to be a superb idea.
I haven't used my winter coat for 90 days, so I threw it out, and I really needed that coat because I threw my wood burner away last september
I need to fill out my tax return but I can't because all the invoices I was keeping I threw out as I hadn't looked at them for more than 90 days.
My house is on fire, I'd better use my fire extinguisher to put it out, damn I threw that out as it was just sitting there not being used.
Throwing stuff out because you haven't used it for 90 days would drive consumerism as we would just have to buy it all again next time you realised that it was useful. -

How many TRUE BELIEVERS do you think are left in the Organization?
by pistolpete ini have a few jw relatives who are true believers.
by this i mean, they believe with all their heart that 1914 was the beginning of the last days, that this is the last generation, that we are in the very last of the last hour of this system of things, and that you should obey the governing body even if it does not make sense.
all of them are in their 60s and up into their 90s there is nothing you can say or show them to convince them or even cause a small doubt that the wt is not god organization.

.they know it’s wrong...
...but believe it’s true...
...at the same time.
That is exactly how I felt when in. A strange concept but certainly possible.

Its not my fault
by incognito2014 inassume for a minute that god created everything.
there was nothing before him and everything is because of him.
every single thing in the universe he is directly responsible for.. somehow the good stuff we should thank him for but the bad stuff is nothing to do with him, it is our fault.. this world that he created that was “good” has turned in to a right shitshow but despite being absolutely responsible for it from start to finish it is not his fault and in fact he has somehow turned this round so that instead of being to blame he is the person who is going to sort the problems and we should be thankful..

Free will is simply an excuse. God should not need humans to make excuses for him. If free will caused the fall from grace then free will was a design fault. It made 100% of the first humans go wrong and 33% of the angels.
The whole Adam and Eve nonsense (which is laughable from every respect) meant that this free will caused the humans to sin for the most trivial and ridiculous of reasons.
God is just like many modern politicians, he over promises and under delivers. He boasts about his achievements but it's never his fault when he gets it wrong.
In fact, in that respect the Governing body are very godlike.

Wasn't in a Kingdom hall so don't know if it counts. But during a talk in an assembly hall the speaker was listing various sins, can't remember the context and suddenly this "sister" jumped up and literally ran out screaming really loud. Can only assume she had a guilty conscience.
Also at I believe the same assembly but cant guarantee it, as they raised the brother from the baptism pool they whacked his head on a hand rail and knocked him out. It didn't last long he was up and moving again within a few minutes.
