here i am

i was a 4th gen born in.my adult children were the 5th.

my mother was one of the newly'anointed' we have all left.

i have been lurking since october.i was really too terrified someone would find out who i was and what would happen.well we are out now so here is a part of my story.

hoping this is the right section..... my story so far,,,.

hello everyone, i have been reading a lot on what most jws would say apostate websites, but i have been asking myself, how much of this s true and considering a lot of these are run by ex jw elders, bethalites and one who was with the gb at one stage, overseers and the like.

i was an unbaptized publisher many years ago but never got to the point of baptism as i fell into sin, that pretty much ended my attending meetings again.

Take a breath. You threw out a lot of questions all at once and it's a little much to answer so let me just summarize what I have learned about the jehovah's witnesses. The JW religion is a cult, a high mind control group and in the sense of Christianity they are very legslistic. Jesus set us free from the law and the JWs put "laws" back on their members. If you and your partner have been together 20 years that's huge! And honestly more like a marriage even if you don't have the damn legal paper saying so. If you guys are committed to each other than be happy and stop equating it to sin. Don't go back to the witnesses. Be free, live your life based on gods principle of love and be happy

Oh my god did u read some of the other blogs! He goes into a whole official transcript of the church regarding a couples adultery session making them confess every detail. What is it with cults and their obsession with sexual details.

Do not share any information about your relationship with any elders, other JWs or her parents, you dont need to. You guys are adults and the decision to date is YOURS alone! When they tell you not to see each other, stand firm and tell them they are out of line in telling you guys who you can and can't date. Ask to be treated as adults and for them to respect your choices!

my husband was recently subjected to an intervention by his parents.

i am apparently a danger to his spirituality.

after i stopped attending meetings and went apostate hubby decided to resign as a ms to spend more time with me.

what buzz word from the jw's do you hate & why?

so my hubby has been on a bit of a roll about the jdubs, we were talking a lot about them & he said the buzz word he hate's the most is "worldly" why?

because he say's "with that one word they have condemned (according to their believes) a person as being worthy of nothing but death.

".

I too hate the term "worldly" and when they quote that scripture "no part of the the world". Ugh we live here, we are part of this world. Lets make the best of it.

And yes the "truth" and "apostate" are my follow up trigger words. I will roll my eyes when I hear any of the above.

she completely goes into cult mode.. me: why is the memorial on march 23rd this year and not april 22nd/23rd when the corresponding nissan 14 commences?

since when did the organization stop following the jewish calendar for passover?.

Wow the Jewish calendar sounds more complex than I thought and sounds like there is an explanation. This is the last response I gave

Me: Good lord mom why does everything have to be with finding fault. You go to meetings, do u not? I was thinking when they introduced the memorial dates to the congregations that maybe there was some announcement or talk about the memorial dates and why the month difference. This year is a leap year after all and the Jewish jubilee just passed so I thought possibly there was some un known factors or a witness explanation.

Her: Im going out to invite people to the memorial and im in a hurry. Not close to any thing in _______! I am doing research, didnt have as much time when you were little!

Her: You are off by a month. Why is Easter on March 27th?

Me: The society always stubbornly held to their understanding that Jesus memorial should only be celebrated once a year on Nissan 14 like the bible says but now they are a month off. The Jewish passover is April 22nd this year at sundown. Why don't u Google it. The witnesses are a month off

Me: And For your information easter and passover do not historically always coincide with in the same week. I thought u knew that

Her: Look in the back of your Bible on B15 the Hebrew Calendar.

Me: Nope It doesn't explain why all the Jewish calendars this year have April 22nd as the start of passover. The jews have been using their Jewish calendar longer than the witnesses, I would trust when they say Nissan 14 is over the organization

Her: Arent they the ones who rejected Jesus and killed him. Where is your brain!

Me: What?!?!? What does that have to do with the wrong dates? Where is your brain. I'm confused on one subject and you try and bring up another

Me: Just forget it. If you're not concerned about celebrating the memorial on the wrong date then It's no big deal.

Her: You trust the natural Jews who do not believe Jesus was even the Messiah?

Me: I trust they know their calendar and when they are suppose to celebrate passover. How they viewed and treated Jesus is another topic. Did you want to discuss my views on jews and their past actions regarding jesus?

Her: Why dont you go on JW. Org and ask the question?

Me: I was just about to suggest that since obviously you don't know why there's a month difference. I take it that they didn't have a talk about it at the kingdom hall so if I find out anything I'll let u know unless u care to find out for yourself

Her:(just as I was about to post all the above) If all you care to do is find fault with the organization or that I havent done enough research. Think what you want. I love Jehovah and his son Jesus and the important thing is that we observe what he commanded us to do and what he did for us. You are just looking for faults. We all have them. If this organization is not being used by Jehovah, it will fail. Will it not?

Hmm how to respond to this last one?
