by Sentinel injust got back from a few days in canada.
our first trip to nova scotia to see relatives who live in bear river.
quite laid back, with much peace, quiet, starry skies, and lovely surroundings and unusually warm weather.. bear river is like going back in time about thirty years.

HOMEWORK AND KIDS?
by morty inis it me or....................do you think our children are being overwhelmed with all the extra homework they are recieving from school now?
i have 2 kids.
one being 15 and the other being 12. i just find that the homework load is so much, compared to when i went to school.i mean we are talking about at least 2 hours for my oldest son and 1-2 hours for the youngest.

I am 15, and i DO think that we have too much homework. we go to school, what, 6? 7? hours a days, to go learn and work, if we're doing that, we shouldnt have to bring it home too.

Did you get a headache today?
by Mindchild inthe earth is undergoing a major geomagnetic storm today (october 15th).
has anyone here noticed anything different about how they feel today?
i have monitored my own responses to geomagnetic storms and find i almost always get a headache out of the blue and ringing of the ears.

ive had a headache for the last few days, but it was SOOO awful today. i dont think i have ever had a headache that bad. i also realised my ears were ringing during my ancient history test today.
good to kno its not sumthing wrong with me!

by Special K ini'm getting hit .. today.. with hurricane juan.. it will strike metro halifax between 6 and 9 pm this evening.
winds 90 to 140 km/hour... up to 80 millimetres of rain.
"this is the worst case scenario for halifax... we are right on the hit list"..says forcasters.

Hey everyone. Wow, the hurricaine sure hit hard in Halifax and truro areas. I was just talking to my mom's step mother, in truro, and she was telling me how awful it was! She couldnt even sleep in her bedroom, cause tree limbs were hitting her roof, and the whole tree almost blew down.
We didnt get much here in the valley, a little rain, a little wind, and SOME people lost their power. school wasnt even cancelled *pouts* but at least we were safe.
Best wishes going to the metro people who were hit so hard last nite. ((people)) Stay Safe.

lol smyler, i was thinkin the same thing! hope not for too long tho! We have a trip to the ocean for my oceans class on wedensday. IF the weather isnt good, we wont be going haha but yeah, if school is cancelled tomorrow because the power is out, we'll have to make a day of it

Elder comes to visit
by Smyler ini haven't to a meeting in about 2 or so months and tonight one of the local elders came to visit me.. he goes on about, how he and the hall misses me and loves me.
and they want to go back to the meetings, "it must be a teenager thing, everyone went thru it, but i know that you will be back.
" i was thinking to myself, you don't know that i'll be back, and i don't plan on it either.
