  i also can recommend the "skeptic's annotated bible". i'd love to have a hardcopy of it, hopefully it'll be available in printed form someday. it's got comments for all the texts you never read when still believing.

  Several years ago I was going to compile all my notes and write such an essay...... then found I had better things to do with my life, and better researchers and writers than I have done so and continue to do so.

  Right now, my best answer is what tetrapod said, it doesn't fit with what we know of genetic fluctuation, adaptation and history, I won't be held accountable for the supposed sin of Adam as I'd have done the same thing he did, and thirdly I've lost interest in whether any gods influence human affairs now, in the past, or in the future.
