Thank you so much for those of you who have replied. You're warm welcomes have strengthened me already! I've heard thru the grapevine that many cong.'s are experiencing many people leaving recently. Anybody else noticing this as well?

I was officially announced as no longer a JW. I didn't dissassociate or get df'ed, they just announced it.

Unfortunately, you are disfellowshipped. That is the new procedure. Apparently for legal reasons, no one is allowed to say the word "disfellowshipped" with regard to a (former) JW from the platform.

At this point, that may not make much difference to you. But that is the official stance now.

Welcome Onesong, its so good to have you here with us. You comments are very interesting and we feel much the same. We were in the Org for 32 years, but thankfully, we came out together and none of our grown-up children are left in, they made up their own minds years ago.

What were the questions that you were asking? Our questions (like so many others here) were UN involvement, failed prophecies and Paedophilia cover ups.

Talking to you could affect their faith? I always got a bang out of that type of reasoning, even when I was a jw. Just how strong could your faith be if talking to someone who's no longer in it could jeopardize your relationship with the Big G. What a load of Banta fodder.

Glad to see you here! Welcome Onesong...from one newbie to another...you'll have more posts than time of the day to read. It's an awesome source of information and questions are answered! No one threatens you with being Apostate (unless you would like someone to tell you that over and over again - different strokes and all) or anything! It's like they're people here and they want to help and chat and move forward and learn or something.
