PS Considering there is only one God, the point is moot, is it not?
Is Jehovah really gods name?

OK, I checked, and the original greek is Theos, not YHWH.
Your looking up the WRONG word sweetie. You looked up God. Look up the word before that. Jesus said according to the translation/Version you use " It is the LORD thy God..........Look up the word LORD.

I don't like using the name Jehovah because it has some kind of regressive power to it, it refers us straight back to the old testament and ignores the name Jesus.
Thus the dubs ignoring that the Apostles said that "this name Jesus is Lord over all" they call themselves witnesses of jehovah that are persecuted for jehovah's name, not witnesses of Christ persecuted for Christ's name.
It sounds at times like a jewish-masonic religion in disguise. -

I have. If you are refering to Matt.4:7 it says:
Kurios ton theos - Lord the God
But while on the subject of the name Jehovah in translations (e.g. NWT), what do you make of 1Cor.10:9. Who was tested?
