I thought they were the pests of revelation . Didn't they claim to be the locust plague ? Any way in Daniel 11 and 12 I think it's clear that the struggle between the king of the north and south is to blame for alot of the tribulation and do expect to see a nuclear exchange even . If we even notice here lately there are alot of natural disasters happening that is killing hundreds of thousands so I think the kingdom arrives at a time when things are seriously out of human control altogether . They even expect super volcanos to go off at some point . It looks like God gathers the kings of the earth together and they make war on him , either by persecuting his seed or literal war . Armageddon I still believe is a spiritual war that has been going on since that time of jesus . Even the apostle Paul wrote it was spiritual warfare to stay innocent in a world controlled by the devil . Words to the effect anyway . It all ends with the great day of God almighty in the bloodiest war in history .

That's a tricky couple of paragraphs. Strictly speaking, they do not call *all* of earth's inhabitants pests, just the incorrigibly wicked. To the casual observer or someone just skimming, they might figure that the WTS is talking about really bad people, the wicked governments, not the general populace. You have to read between the lines to see what they are really saying.

While not coming right out and calling for the extermination of the earth's population in direct terms, they are planting that thought in the minds of their followers while not alarming the casual reader.

Basically, non-JWs were "vermin" / "rats" and just because the babies were "cute" didn't mean they shouldn't be exterminated. They were still nothing more than "rats" and "vermin

That`s pretty much the exact words used by Hitler and his henchmen about Jews. They even had a movie portraying the jews as rats, "der evige Jude". But I recognise the mentality. Ffs, what kind of shit was I raised in. No wonder I`m a judgmental character. I wonder, have they ever thought about how, when they teach people to hate, that this hate might someday be turned against them? They`re so "oh oh, they`re persecuting us, the end must be cloooose", but eventually, the boy who screams wolf...

And so Jehovah considers anyone threatening the "peace" of mankind and earth as pests.

Hmmm, and all one has to do to be a peace threatener is simply to not know Jehovah or choose not to find out about him or to decide he/she doesn't want to serve Jehovah. The person can be the nicest, kindest, most generous, benevolent and peaceful/peace loving person, yet still be a threat to the "peace." And what peace is that? One that was brought about by the most gruesome, grizzly slaughter of mostly good humans of every age.

My sister: "I hate worldly people. Worldly people are the cause of all of my problems. I can't wait til they all die at Armegeddon. I won't shed one tear."

    The psychology does work.

The next issue of the Watchtower will deal with the organization as the antitypical "Orkin man" using the Watchtower as the modern day "Raid" fullfilling the prophecy of extermination of the "pest" class.

“Nature is cruel; therefore we are also entitled to be cruel. When I send the flower of German youth into the steel hail of the next war without feeling the slightest regret over the precious German blood that is being spilled, should I not also have the right to eliminate millions of an inferior race that multiplies like vermin?”

Adolf Hitler, quoted in Hitler, by Joachim Fest, Vintage Books Edition, 1974, p. 679-680.
"Only Jehovah is capable of waging a truly just and truly selective war during which righthearted individuals, wherevere they may be on earth, will be preserved"

"Those who respond favorably to the good news can survive Armageddon and live forever in perfection on a paradise earth."

"What, then, is to be done with those who threaten the peace and security of their fellow humans? God must eliminate such "pests" -the incorrigibly wicked-for the sake of the righteous ones."
