Crash test dummies
God shuffled his feet
and
Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm
Maybe some at the KH are "crash test dummies", useful as long
as their brains aren't needed.
That wasn't nice was it, shame on me!

Ok, at first thought I wanted to suggest a song from one of David Allan Coe's unreleased X-rated albums.
Then I thought how cool it would be to play "Free Bird" by Skynyrd.
"Family Tradition" or "All my Rowdy Friends" by Hank Williams, jr.
"God Bless the USA" by Lee Greenwood.
"Walkin on the Fightin Side of Me" by Merle Haggard.
But then, you can't just have country.
"Sanitarium" by Metallica (back before they sold out and got haircuts and went MTV pop).
I guess I'm gonna go with a song I used to love as a young dub and still enjoy to this day.
Heart of Steel by Manowar.
Build a fire a thousand miles away
to light my long way home.
I ride a comet.
My trail is long to stay.
Silence is a heavy stone.
I fight the world, and take all they can give.
There are times my heart hangs low.
Born to walk against the wind.
Born to hear my name.
No matter where I stand, I'm alone.
Stand and fight!
Live by your heart.
Always one more try,
I'm not afraid to die!
Stand and fight!
Say what you feel!
Born with a heart of steel!
Burn the bridge behind you.
Leave no retreat.
There's only one way home.
Those who laugh and crowd the path and cut each others' throats
will fall like melting snow.
They'll watch us ride with fire in our eyes.
They'll bow their heads,
their hearts will hang low.
Then we'll laugh and they will kneel
and know this heart of steel
was too hard to break
too hard to hold.

Mine would be Live and let die.
The only way to make it through all those
endless hours of Shit was to be Sedated.
Here's Joey and the rest of the Ramones.
Twenty, twenty, twenty four hours to go
I wanna be sedated
Nothing to do, nowhere to go
I wanna be sedated
Just get me to the airport
And put me in a plane
Hurry, hurry, hurry, before I go insane
I can't control my fingers
I can't control my brain
Oh no, oh ho, oh no
Just put me in a wheelchair
And get me to the show
Hurry, hurry, hurry, before I go loco
I can't control my fingers
I can't control my toes
Oh no, oh ho, oh no
Ba-ba-bamp-pa
Ba-ba-ba-bamp-pa
I wanna be sedated
Hi everyone. I'm new here and this will be my first post. I'm kind of trying to figure out how to navigate around. So, bear with me.
I have been reading posts here for a while, but only decided to take the plunge tonight. I'm female, 44, and live in Chicago. I was a witness for about 20 years. Attended my last Memorial in '93. So, enough of me.
The song I would have loved to hear and would have kept me from nodding off is...
Come Together by The Beatles. Probably the remake by Michael would be better, since they hate him so much.
And because I was livid when my mother found out I'd bought it and burned it in the backyard!!!

Song 144 "We Must Have The Faith" could be changed to one of these:
George Michael: You Gotta Have Faith
Bon Jovi: Keep The Faith
