Thank you. I'll be glad when the redness goes away, then the bits of blue shading will show up more I think.

My parents don't talk to me much anymore the way it is...so I didn't care what they thought of it...lol...I think it'll be interesting to see my in-laws reaction though. I've always been very conservative. I mean REALLY conservative. I have a nose ring and now my tat. But it feels good. Since I got my nose ring, I've gained a bit more confidence. And the tat just added a bit more. I feel ME coming out...YAY!!!!

Yeah getting that little bit of individuality feels good doesn't it? After a life-time of conforming and dressing 'down' it's nice to let yourself shine through finally. Incidentally, where did you get the design for it from?

FreedomFrog, just a word of warning.....they're addictive!

My daughter had her first (a duck with attitude) on her shoulder at 14 (yes I signed for it) her second (a chubby demon with horns, tail and halo) at the bottom of her back at 15 and the last several months ago at 17 1/2 is a specially designed tribal band with hearts interweaved and her late grandfather's initials (RJM) in english script around the top of her left arm. She's now deciding what and where the next one will be.

She has her bellybutton, left eyebrow and labrea pierced and this week her hair is Blackcherry!

Actually, he searched it for me. I told him about what I wanted. I knew I wanted a Raven and preferably with the wings spread out. He found it under "Raven Tattoo" on the internet. I want one more on my ankle to cover up some major scarring from a surgery I had years ago...but the next one I want to design. I think it might be of Cheeko (a green cheek amazon), a bird I lost to death last January.

Hehehe, yeah, I'm noticing. I'm already plotting on when to get my "next" one. 3 is my limit. We'll see.

Gina, you got a tattoo?!? Why is the husband always the last to know???

Seriously, of course I knew she was getting it. As her "head", I was asked for and granted my permission. As I recall, the conversation went something like this:

Gina: I'm thinking about a tattoo.

    Dave: Really? I don't know...

Gina: Did I *ASK* what you "knew"?

Dave: Um... er... I grant my permission for your tatt---

    Gina: WHATever...

    She's so submissive!

I love it Gina! It is great to have the freedom to choose what you have or don't have on your body. One of the reasons I chose to get a tattoo (yes, they are addictive...I have three now) was because it was my way of giving the JW's the "bird". So what if "everyone has one"...and by the way...they don't.

    Big hug...cathy

Let's see if you can just stop at three?????

I'm going to get my first next August (2006) prior to my 55th Birthday! It's one of the things on my "Mid-Life Crisis" list. Men get sports cars and younger women. I'm getting a tattoo and a motorcycle!

    Have Fun!

Richie that is the Claddagh symbol... An irish celtic thing.

    It mostly comes in rings.

    • if the ring is on your right hand and pointing out it means your heart is available.
    • If it is on your right hand and the heart is pointing in it means your heart is spoken for
    • If it is on your left hand and pointing our it means your engaged
    • If it is on your right hand and pointing in it means you are married.

(I have one on my right hand pointing in...)
